I watched the replay first time I've seen the fight and had GGG winning 116-112. He showed very good defense although Jacobs did get through with some eye catchers. But GGG never seemed rattled by them.

People forget that Jacobs was the next big thing going into his Pirog fight and he's a very good fighter.

I'm betting Jacobs is not really interested in a rematch.

GGG, will fight and beat the sh*t out of the fraud Saunders in June. Next up will be Canelo. Yeah, sure, GGG's PPV numbers are not the greatest so what. Get 10 million plus a % of the PPV. That is fair. No doubt he will beat Canelo. Besides, Canelo is overlooking a hungry and in shape Chavez Jr. Mark my words that will be life and death match for both. Canelo will never be the same.

If GGG were Mexican he would have huge PPV numbers. Look at Canelo. He could fight Joe Schmo off the street and have better PPV numbers.

True. Triple G has tried to win over the Mexican crowd referring to his fighting style as "Mexican Style" ready to brawl. Apparently not enough Amigos consider him as their own. Probably the language barrier. Also Khan drew large numbers from UK market. This is just the beginning for Gennady!

I scored it the same way, with Jacobs only winning 3 rds. GGG gets the extra point for the knockdown. Compare the size of Jacobs in the Pirog fight and this fight. He looks to be over 180 lbs in the GGG fight. If there is a rematch a year or so away, GGG has to penalize Jacobs for every lb he is over 170 lbs. Something like 100K. That weight advantaged helped him survive GGG big shots, especially that uppercut in the 10th rd.

This is really something that I'm surprised I'm not hearing much about. Canelo is in tough against Chavez. De la hoya seems to think Chavez is just a warm up or something, it's really odd. Chavez is quite a bit bigger than the guys Canelo is used to fighting. He will get some shots in but they may not really affect Chavez and if Chavez steps on the gas, Canelo could be in trouble. An in shape and hungry Chavez that weighs 180 or so come fight night could be a nightmare for Canelo. I won't pay for this fight, but I'd still be interested to watch it.

Oscar DLH deserves an Oscar for keeping a straight face when he says GGG not being a draw is holding up matching Canelo with him. Even if GG had flattened Jacobs in a couple rounds Canelo is still the draw anyway. I hope Canelo is starting to suspect he's being protected and it should sting. If he gets past Chavez Jr. Canelo needs to remind Oscar that Canelo is the star and not Oscar and make the freaking GGG fight.

Where's all this Mexican pride the announcers are always slobbering about?
