CFers Jones will be on the level of all time NFL bust, Jadofus Russell. Take that to the bank!

The Bills had an opportunity to draft Kevin Hogan, the QB from Stanford instead of Jones. I thought Hogan was a much better prospect and has a chance to develop into a good starter.

Time will tell, that is, if Hogan ever gets a fair chance, which he may not because he's white.

I hope Mcdermott pushes for Romo or Cutler with Chad Kelly and they cut Tynog with Manuel. That would be the ideal scenario. Buffalo dwfs think Tynog is best qb since Kelly. They forgot about Flutie.

Big fan of Hogan as well. I know Leonardfan is too. Cheering for the guy!

Good old Whaley, always good for providing shits and giggles:

According to the Buffalo News, the idea of starting Cardale Jones at quarterback is "appealing" to GM Doug Whaley. The fourth-round pick out of Ohio State attempted just 11 passes as a rookie in 2016. He's a major project but with Buffalo on the fence about keeping Tyrod Taylor, Jones is an alternative the Bills will have to consider. Taking a quarterback 10th overall would probably be a reach for Buffalo while the free agent market figures to be just as sparse. In the end, the Bills may decide that keeping Taylor is their best option.

Any idea what Jones' Wonderlic score was? I seem to remember it being very low.

Sounds like KC won't be picking up option on Nick Foles so he will officially become FA. Many dwf's call Foles 27TD 2ints 2013 season a fluke, but he really has been the only qb to really have the most success in a Chip Kelly offense at the pro level. Not even Mike Vick, which talents were best suited for Chip Kelly's offense, could not master the offense. Foles is a smart qb with a big arm. I could see him being a good fit in Kyle Shanahan's offense at San Fran. I see a little Matt Ryan in Nick Foles. It would also be great if Shanahan called Riley Cooper for a tryout as San Fran is weak at receiver he and Foles had a good connection in the past.

Foles is a quality qb and should be signed to compete for a starting job somewhere. He's only 27 so he's still young for a qb.

I just read that AHDIW is attempting an NFL comeback lol.

On the topic of comebacks I really hope Manziel has his life together and is serious about making an NFL comeback. I'll be the first to admit he was a jackass but I think seeing him return to the game would be a nice win for us. I am kind of hoping Shanahan takes a flyer on him. Foles also deepens the FA QB class - I don't know why porky does not want him back. I have read rumors that the Chiefs want Watson which is a complete insult to Alex Smith. Hopefully that is all just jock sniffer gossip.

I am so sick of all this Watson 1st round talk. I hope he slides. One projected landing spot is Buffalo. If Buffalo does not land Romo or Cutler, I would not be upset if they drafted Trubinski with first pick. It would be a miracle if it occured considering Dougtavious still has a role in drafting. He fell in love with the idea of a triple dindu black quarterback special.

PHillisFan, I definitely sympathize with you since you are a Bills supporter under the nightmare reign of Dougtavious the Dunce. However, if these lousy black quarterbacks are going to be pigeonholed into the league then they might as well be collected on a few teams. I would encourage the Bills to roster 4 dindus this year. The Seahawks and either the Panthers or Bucs can have the rest.

On a positive note, I've heard nothing but praise from the local sports talk about Trubinski. One radio talking head even went so far as to say that every scout she (I know, I know....) talked to considered Mitch a sure thing prospect who had all the tools. She even spoke glowingly about his speed. At the end of the segment she mentioned that she was hearing Watson was not grading out as a 1st rounder but that wouldn't stop some team from reaching for him in the 1st.

The dolphins did some purging - sumo branden albert, overrated Mario Williams and non-factor earl mitchell all cut today.

I really hope Gase gets 3-4 white players in the draft although the idiots running the show will probably oppose that.

MMQB's Albert Breer believes the Rams could be a player for Kirk Cousins if things don't work out with Jared Goff in 2017.

That's assuming the Redskins franchise tag Cousins for the second year in a row. The Redskins were once content to let the market determine Cousins' value but the landscape has changed a bit now that two of Cousins' biggest supporters, Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan, have landed head-coaching jobs. Shanahan is already gunning for Cousins to join him in San Francisco while Los Angeles could be a possibility next year if Goff falls flat again in 2017. With Cousins attracting interest elsewhere, the Redskins would be wise to lock him into a long-term deal as soon as possible.

These fagg@t experts are so eager to write off Goff. It is amazing how young QBs are the ire of so many dwfs and jock sniffing "journalists".

Doesn't really matter, the NFL nerfed the wonderlic a few years back, players can take the test multiple times and they'll just use the highest score. There's no comparison between today's wonderlic scores and the scores of years past.

There were just to many embarrasing episodes of black superstars like Vince Young who scored in the single digits. So they made a quiet change to put a stop to that.

He got a 25 which is just as believable as Jameis Winston scoring a 27. There's a formula that converts Wonderlic scores to IQ scores and it's W x 2 + 60. Does anyone really believe these dumb dindus have IQs as high as the average White college student ? The average IQ across sub Saharan Africa is in the 70s

I had a feeling something like that had happened . Thank you for confirming it . I still think it's even worse than what you're saying. They probably give the players the questions in advance or give them unlimited time to complete the test

I think it's amazing how Cousins is being treated with so much disrespect . Go look at the season he had in 2015, 29 td 11 int 101 passer rating 70% completion and over 4000 yards passing while also leading his team to the playoffs. Then he had a comparable season this year. Yet the redskins still aren't sold on him ? Give me a break. He'd be the highest paid player in football right now if he were a black quarterback. For heavens sake Tyrod Taylor got a 90 million dollar contract last summer

I agree, the treatment of Kirk Cousins is probably the most blatant example of the bias against White players. This is a guy, who for the last two seasons has put up borderline top 5 numbers. Is he a top 5 quarterback? Not quite, but heading into only his 3rd year as a starter, he's damn close, but he is treated as though he is some mediocre guy who the Redskins can take or leave.. What's even more laughable is how 'all in' they were with Griffin; and when you compare the dumpster fire that is Rg3 to what Cousins did in 2015, there should have been a contract ready before the 2016 season, but no, Cousins had to ' prove it'. I 100% agree with your assessment; if Cousins were a black quarterback putting up these numbers, he'd be the highest paid player in the league... What gets swept under the rug is that Griffin stole 3 years of Cousin's career....

Four years from now, I think we'll be having this same conversation about Cody Kessler..

I've noticed how Jay cutler is now being portrayed as some toxic player no one wants as free agency approaches. Cutler does have a sometimes offputting demeanor but he probably has a solid 4 seasons left in him for a qb needy team. Teams like the Bills, Jets and 49ers would be wise to pursue him as he brings an instant upgrade and plug and play starter from day one. I'd take cutler over every black quarterback in the league.

Cutler definitely needs a change of scenery. Chicago is where Quarterback careers go to die. They rival Cleveland for the worst cities by far for the careers of QBs.. As you mentioned teams should be all over him recruiting his services as a stop gap QB. Never been a fan of his attitude but Chicago fans are by and large huge DWFs and a bit much to stomach for those with more laid back personalities. I'd like to see him end up with San Fran, I think Shanahan could cook up a good scheme for him. NY is another large market team with a AA coach and we all know Dougtavious doesn't deserve a quality white QB to save his sorry ass!!

Yeah, Cutler is a solid starter. Just a hunch, but I can see him with the Jets; isn't he and Brandon Marshall buddies or something? I would really like to see Petty get an opportunity with NYJ, but I wouldn't be upset if they signed Cutler as a stopgap....

I think Romo or Cutler to the Jets would be a good thing. I am a huge Hackenberg fan, he played well beyond his years during his freshman campaign under Bill O'Brien only to basically be torn down under Franklin's idiotic offense the next two years. I feel that Romo especially would be a quality teammate and mentor to both Petty and Hackenberg.

Hey guys I have some good news for once. Justice has finally been served in the Joey Porter case. He plead guilty to disorderly conduct today and was forced to pay a very hefty fine of 300 dollars

Pittsburgh Steelers assistant coach Joey Porter pleaded guilty Tuesday to a disorderly conduct citation stemming from his arrest last month, according to court documents obtained by NFL.com.

Porter made his plea in Allegheny Magisterial District Court (Pennsylvania) and was fined $300. The case is now closed.

Porter was arrested Jan. 9 after he allegedly grabbed an officer's wrists after being denied entrance to a Pittsburgh bar by a bouncer. He was initially arrested on four charges, but the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office later only charged him with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness citations

I would be surprised if he was an option for the 49ers since Shanahan came out and said they did not want a stop gap a few days ago. More than likely they will go after a young guy (Garrapolo, McCarron, etc) or draft a franchise qb.

Cutler like Romo has a few years left in the tank. Any team on the brink of the playoffs should be looking at either of these two. I know that if Buffalo decides to stick with Tynog Taylor then the new coaching staff is essentially a branch of the old regime.

There is an indication that the 49ers and Redskins will make a huge trade at the combine involving Kirk Cousins. Cousins is unhappy with having to keep proving himself to the Redskins franchise. Shanahan said he didnt' want a bridge qb, but rather a franchise qb. This deal would make a lot of sense for the 49ers. On the downside, Cousins will have less offensive talent to work with than he did with Washington. It could turn into a Nick Foles\Rams situation unless they upgrade their talent on offense.

The Redskins didn't have more than average skill position players - Garçon and Jackson are overrated, Reed is good but oft-injured, their rbs are a joke. It's laughable to me that Cousins success is being attributed to their skill position players rather than giving Cousins credit for being a good Qb.
