Gentlemen,

You're all too negative. Leonard has his destiny and he's going to excel no matter what they do to slow him down. No way to eclipse this guy.

Tom Iron...

I admire your positive thinking, Tom. However, the powers-that-be have DESTROYED the careers of dozens of talented White tailbacks, leaving almost ZERO evidence of them even existing in the first place.

Do you have any idea how many times I have asked people, "Do you know who Luke Staley is?" or "Have you ever heard of Brock Forsey?", and their response is "Who???". Thats exaclty my point. The NFL does its best to not only destroy their careers, but also to erase any evidence of them playing to begin with. Its almost like they're ghosts. Crazy but true. If things keep going the way they're going, soon people will be saying "Brian who???".Edited by: Ground Fighter

Damn, if Leonard did not have at least 10 carry tonight at FB or RB, maybe that gonna be a long season for him and us..

Well, I can't watch the game live but according to NFL.com the first 7 rushes of the game were by white guys (Leonard 6 and Drew Bennett 1). The fact that Brian started AGAIN at tailback leads me to believe that the journalists are full of crap. It's almost like they're in shocked disbelief about Leonard and don't know how to cope so they just print fantasies and hope they come true (NFL.com has him listed as a 276 lb FB). They continue to insist on Leonard being moved to FB any day now even though by every St. Louis indication he IS the backup tailback.

WOW!! That was amazing! Took the defender completely off guard, left him lurching with his back in the air trying to make contact with Leonard. Leonard is amazing. He should be starting somewhere. It's ridiculous that guys like Lendale White, et al are starting in the NFL over Leonard.

I think Leonard should be in the high jump or the long jump at the World Championships in Japan right now.

That takes not only athletecism but great courage to hurdle a guy at this level. You have to love this kid. Way to go Leonard!

Wow! That was incredible. As far as we know, that was against a player on a NFL team, right.:)

Have a quick read of the first 2 or 3 sections of this diary written by Rams safety Oshiomogho Atogwe

Rams revenge

I would be interested to know what everyone thinks is Oshiomogho Atogwe's opinion of Brian Leonard and of his treatment by the Rams.

He has a lot of praise for Daunte Culpepper.

damn, after decent series Leonard was held to -1 yards on consecutive carries but managed to gain 7 yards on last carry of the quarter. he also added nice catch for 9 yards in last series.

Leonard is pretty good but Jesse Lumsden is better. Leonard is not the best white RB out there right now IMO, he might not even be second best.Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

Rams just claimed Antonio Pittman of the waivers... let's hope that this is not bad news for Brian...

EDIT: but come to think of it, this guys is reputed to be lazy and overrated.
i mean he slid to 4th round, and then go cut by Saints over Aaron Stecker and Pierre Thomas...
he should be fighting for 3rd rb spot on Rams. however the margin of error that Brian will have now just got a little smaller, methinks.Edited by: backrow

It was probably just a move for depth purposes, I do not think it will hinder Leonard's playing time.

your damn right Riggo. Each and every time I see Jesse play, I'm wondering how effective he would be running behind a FB and getting 30 carries per game. He'd easily challenge L.Johnson and Steven Jackson as the 2nd best RB in the league if given the opportunity. He is really not suited for the CFL type of play and still dominates.

The Rams just inexplicably picked up rookie RB Antonio Pittman, who was just as inexplicably cut by the Saints. A fantasy site reacted to this by, shockingly enough, stating that his arrival was a direct threat to Brian Leonard's touches. I don't know why this should shock anyone, but somehow it still does. We're all overjoyed at having a single white BACKUP RB in the entire league, but apparently even that is too much for the masterminds who run Don King's America. No one can tell me this stuff happens accidentally- there are many, many other teams in the league who should have pounced on Pittman before the Rams. Why didn't they? Yes, Virginia, there is a conspiracy....

Lumsden is a great RB, very good talent, but no chance he is better than Leonard!!!!
Leonard is more faster, better vision, more strong(he already have run over on Patrick Willis, that just one exemple)..better hands, better pass protector...
sorry but right now, the only white RB I see who can be better than Leonard is McGuffie(potential)
