As predicted, GGG lays Brook to waste. Brook didn't "win" anything; GGG just left the line at lower rpm; as soon as he revved it up, Brook crumpled. The same thing would happen to those NATO faigs if they ever got into a live fight with the Russians.

He did win one round, and I got nervous too, but really it was only a matter of time before GGG put those patented rapid fire combos together. I've never seen anyone who keeps his balance with multiple follow up punches like he does, plus he's very strong and takes punches very well too.

What the hell were you nervous about Wolfman? I had Brook at 300-1 odds. GGG was never not ever going to lose to Brook>

Gentlemen, have a look again at the fight while it is still online. You'll see GGG just toy with Brook for the first 2 and then batter him at his will for rounds 3,4, and 5. What is amazing is those stupid English fans cheering for that loser Brook.

According to Dailymail.UK, Brook suffered a broken orbital around his right eye, explains why Brook constantly pawed at it.

The books had GGG only a 5-1 to 8-1 favorite. Of course all those British wiggers drove the odds up.

I thought it was quite a terrific fight while it lasted. Not a single clinch. The mulatto got in some good shots and put up a good fight, especially considering that he was fighting someone who is almost super human and fights at a bigger weight class than he ordinarily does. I gave him a round. His eye socket was broken, which is what I thought happened. He was seeing double, or 5 things as he put it. Boxers are often too tough and don't know when to quit.

Good find on the fight video. The American version was quickly taken down by HBO's sheister lawyers.

The funny thing about sensational GGG is that he doesn't look like much if u see him on the street, just an ordinary happy skinny little feller. If he went to the beach some badly misguided old time Charles Atlas bully might even kick sand on him...

Good one Wolfy with the Atlas comparison. GGG has the perfect physic for fighting. Long lean muscles and long arms with fast twitch reflexes. But your right in street clothes a Joe schmoe. He has the same build as Jack Dempsey.

As a brit, i love gennedy golovkin. Fantastic to watch the best ever middleweight who happens to be white, obliterate another hyped up fighter.

Chris eubank junior next please. At least kell brook is semi likable. Watching eubank junior get torchered by Golovkin., is going to be heavenly

The fight was mostly one sided from the get go, and I was fairly confident it would be. Golovkin hurt brook in the first round and had him running. Brook tried to distance himself and found marginal success for a couple rounds. But as stated above, once Golovkin turned it on Brook was in full survival mode. I was never nervous for GGG because he never stopped walking Brook down and he never even tried to avoid his punches. As for the stoppage, I felt Brook had another 30 seconds or so before being beaten to the canvas however his corner is probably eyeing other big money fights and this fight was a "test the water" situation at middleweight. Once they knew the ultimate outcome, they actually saved Brook as he may have received a beating that would leave him damaged for the remainder of his career. I will say that Brook gave a decent account of himself for moving up and seemed like a decent sportsman. I still feel Canelo will avoid GGG. Perhaps a Canelo/Brook fight will be in the works. Errol Spence is Brooks mandatory challenger at welterweight should he choose to go back down.

Also one other thing I noticed. In round 3 or 4 GGG appeared to knock Brook down, however the ref called it a slip. Normally they would show an instant replay after the round, however no replay and the announcers didn't even talk about it. I didn't see it too well, but it looked like a knock down and Brook was slow to get up. Is it just a coincidence the ref was black and the fight took place in the UK?

The black ref had zero peripheral vision. The cornermen were right next to him screaming and waving the towell and he was oblivious.

I was thinking the same thing. Sky sport probably had an interest in Brook winning. If HBO was broadcasting they would have showed the replay to see if the ref erred in not calling it a knock down. GGG, based on his reaction thought it was and went after Brook once he got up. My guess it was a knockdown.

Brook is quoted: " I expected Golovokin to be a bigger puncher". He got his eye socked smashed and is going into surgery very soon. Golovkin broke two of Macklin's ribs and sent Macklin into retirement. This Brook is funny.

He reminds me of the black knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail - "Come back and fight you cowards - I'll bite your legs off!"

I didn't get any impression that the ref called anything wrong. I'd watch it again but it's removed now. I should have downloaded it. I didn't have any complaints about the ref. He was unobtrusive like a ref should be, but there were no clinches or low blows or anything in particular for him to do. I thought it was a slip at the time. As for the cornerman waving the flag I thought he was waving it like a little girl waving her handkerchief bye bye. Finally he got the idea to throw it in since the refs back was turned and he didn't care to run in with it. Perhaps he was yelling and I couldn't hear him. I mean if you're going to go to the trouble of throwing in a towel you shouldn't be coy about it.

Good observation.

Back before water cutting most middleweights had to be short to have any muscularity to them. Now guys can look like GGG at the weigh in and have the look of a stocky light heavyweight a day and half later. The fight played out like I thought it would. If Brook's corner didn't show mercy we might have seen the spectacular ko that most thought was going to happen in another round or so as Brook was heavy legged and sucking in wind from taking the battering in the 5th round.

Hopefully Jacobs doesn't try and duck GGG by not trying to get his mandatory shot but Haymon fighters seem to love ducking non Haymon fighters and then throwing away their ABC belt to fight another Haymon fighter.

Looking forward to this fight next Saturday. O2 Arena will be electric. I have to give Kell Brook credit for taking the fight, albeit, his purse is handsome.

On the internet, a lot of delusional fans are believing Brook will have a chance agains the GGG, due to his muscle build up. They don't realize that this mass will make him slow and tire quicker.

I see the 1st two or three rounds competitive, then reality will take over mosh gosh! Brook was a big welter weight with great boxing skills and snapping power. But once he feels fatigue and paralyzing power from GGG the end will come soon.

I see this GGG ending it with a body shot or left hook in rounds 5 through 7.
I can say I pretty much called it!
