wow! fall asleep and some one goes off kilter for a moment. Why we talking holocaust in sports forum?

I was doing some research on Danny Talbot and was shocked when I read his mother is half Trinidadian and father is white, making him a quarter dark skin, would he be considered white or black? From a distance he looks totally white yet from close up you can tell he is mixed blood. Thoughts?

I will say in the Euro champs 200m final he was closing on Gemili fast and would have had him in another stride or so. Gemili looked like Teeters tense and all over the place form wise. This kid Filippo Tortu is extremely impressive at such a young age, great form and very relaxed sprinter...hopefully many more great races from him and sub 10 in the next year or so...

On an off subject..does anyone here know what "black Irish" actually is?

Cheers...

It's called Google and cut and paste------
"The definition of black Irish is used to describe Irish people with dark hair and dark eyes thought to be decedents of the Spanish Armada of the mid-1500s, or it is a term used in the United States by mixed-race descendants of Europeans and African Americans or Native Americans to hide their heritage."
There's more to it than this first entry. Look it up.

Danny, if you got your facts right, is in "Muddy Waters," as in he has some blood from the "Mudderland." In this miscegenating World of race traitors, he is the product of "Jungle fever." Due to the one-drop rule of the legacy of slabery, he is considered one of theirs since most "high-yellows" are high achievers in the lowly Negro hood. In actuality he is exactly what you're thinking, a mixed blood mulatto(?) who is either a bastard form of White, or an evolving progressive form of Negro, take your pick.
Just remember this. Blacks co-opt for their poor self-esteem anything that has one drop of hated Whitey blood to boost their "achievements." Whites have no right to call 3/4-White Danny anything other than another fine specimen of Negro.
I hope that helps, your welcome.

Wow, the semi final times were very encouraging. New PB for Guliev and Tortu breaks 10.20. Maybe having that Jamaican to train with will help Ramil.

Yes, Hortelano looked good, Guliyev shot his bolt in the semis, Kilty fs'd not for the first time - he knows he needs to get away first and try to hold on and it gets to him.
Reus's dad must time his races in Germany. He reminds me of Australia's Melissa Breen whom I describe as an 11.40 runner who on one perfect day ran 11.11.
Reus is a 10.20 something guy with flambouyant hair and a photogenic face. Hence his media darling status.

Meanwhile, back to track.....Ramil Guliyev ran a personal best of 10.07 to make it to the 100m finals.
Richard Kilty won his semi and also made it to the final.
The youngster Filippo Tortu looked really good, and finished 3rd in his semi with a new PB of 10.19. He is the future of white European sprinting.
Bruno Hortelano, this year's sprinting revelation of Spain, also made it into the finals.
Lucas Jakubczyk of Germany ran 10.16, but didn't qualify for the finals.

The big disappointment was Julian Reus who ran 10.22, and didn't qualify for the finals.
No offense, but this is actually typical of Reus. His entire career, he has only run well in Germany. He's 28, and he's never made the European finals and never made it out of the heats at the World Championships. He had been having a great season, but still ran very disappointingly in these Championships.
The Rio Olympics is his last chance to prove himself.
Like Lemaitre, he should have been putting himself up against international competition more often, so he wouldn't be so prone to choking at these type of championships.

Reus (and "some" other great White hopes who fizzle on the World stage) is a fraud. He runs his fast times in these little hidden domestic meets which I call "questionable conditions." Using the constant excuse of "folding under pressure" or "needs more experience against high-caliber competition" or "choking" is either saying Whites are p*ssies, or admitting these one-off type performances are BS. Screw that little chunky thighed twerp.
I'm watching the big boy Ramil, and hoping he regains that 19.88 form, and hopefully more which that 10.07 gives hope for.
The rest fall into the seeing is believing category. Good luck to them all as the blacks are slowly being invited into every European country under special "athletic" citizenship (e.g. U.S. army long distance running Corp). Soon Iceland will be represented by a black 4 x 100 (not yet but....).

This is why I could never get too enthusiastic about Reus.
He never performed well in international meets, and up until recently, his fast times came on super fast tracks at insignificant meets. Although recently he did perform well and run fast at the German Championships.
But if you can't run well at the big meets, then the fast times don't mean as much.

I'm looking forward to more of Hortelano and Tortu, and let's see where Guliyev goes from here.

Kilty false starts in the final.
Vicaut chokes and finishes 3rd.
1st goes to a guy from the Netherlands Antilles (Caribbean)
2nd goes to a guy from Jamaica representing Turkey.
And thus you can see the (non-European) future of Europe!

Meanwhile Hortelano looked quite good in getting 4th place. He was in lane 9. If he had been closer to his competition, he might have done better.

You know it's crazy but let's talk Ramil Guliyev for a second. He finished 6th in the final but he ran a new p.b. of 10.07 in the semi finals. We all know Christophe never had the best start but Lemaitre is a thousand times better than Guliyev out of the blocks. Ramil is the only sprinter I've ever seen that pops up immediately. No drive phase what so ever. No coach has ever fixed this yet he ran a 10.07 in the 2nd round. That time could easily be a 9.95 to 9.99 with any kind of start. He is always dead last every time he races a 100 for at least 40 meters. Crazy talent but without the proper coaching. What could have been if he trained with elite coach's.

As for Reus, he missed the finals by 3/1000th of a second. He had the same exact time as Hortelano and they finished in a photo finish in the semi finals. I really think he was saving himself for the finals and got eased up too early. I feel so bad for him. I would have preferred to see Reus finally get a chance to make things right.

That being said this kid Bruno Hortelano is outstanding. Love watching him compete. The italian guy is good too.

One final note is that I'm sad for Kilty. I think he would have made the medal stand if not for the false start. Such a sad
situation but rules are rules. He acted like a gentleman despite being devastated. Good show Richard. Keep your head up.

It's really sad Christophe didn't compete. He would have medaled most likely and maybe had a chance at another gold medal.

Has anyone seen these two at the same time?

I think Reus looks cool. I'm not mocking him for his looks or for the kind of person he is. I don't see him acting like a 'wigger'. I have nothing against him personally.
I don't dislike him. He just doesn't perform well outside of Germany.
Yeah, he only missed the finals by 3/100th, but he was in the slowest semi with none of the eventual medal winners, and had the fastest time of anyone in his semi.
10.21 should have been no problem for him. But he couldn't do it.

I too agree that he has a cool look. He has done modeling before and he is a class act
on and off the track. I too am bummed he underperformed but like I said I think he was coasting and got
caught by suprise. It should be a painful lesson that he should have learned years ago.

To be fair though he is an inspiration to german youth. He has broke long standing records in the
60 and 100 meters that stood for decades. He also came close to Till Helmkes 200 record recently but
it was slightly windy. If he does nothing else he has been a very positive step in the right direction for
german track & field as far as the sprints go just like Veronica Sailer was too. She retired at the end of
last season. They both have been the faces of german sprinting for a decade. Not an easy accomplishment.
So let's give him credit for what he has done for his country.

I didn't say he "acted" like a Vanilla Ice Wigger (Though I am gently mocking his Vanilla Ice Pompadour). I just used the juxtaposition of their similar mugs as an opportunity for a joke, you know, (W)igger = fast, as in, "run its the Po Po!

Here's the semi with Reus, Kilty, and Hortelano.
He didn't ease up. They were battling the whole way.

Kilty beat Hortelano here and then hours later, Hortelano took 4th in the final.
Makes you wonder how Kilty would have done. He looked good here.

I have watched the final several times now, I agree Rues took it a bit easy right off but was coming back at the end, it seems to me he leaned at the wire too late the Spaniard timed his lean perfectly, at least that is the way I see it.

On a more keen note, I would love to see Hale, Hari and Filipo in the same 100m race, all injury free, hot, no wind and see what happens...race for the ages :)

You are right, Reus did NOT ease off at all in this race, and was beaten by the extra-length of Hortelano's longer upper-torso.
Kilty if he hadn't false started would have most likely been battling Hortelano (again)for 4th in the final.
Thanks for the vid. That was BBC? They make NBC look like pure sheeeet in athletics coverage.

Devon Allen won his heat for the 110mH USTAF trials: 13.44. Repeat of the 100m with John Teeters or a sure thing top 3 contender for the Olympics? Hope for the best.

A couple of blondes (Emma Coburn/Evan Jaeger) easily won their respective 3000m steeplechase races. Both should contend for medals against the cheating Kenyan vermin in Rio.

Rupp won the 10000m and will hopefully win the 5000m as well. Molly Huddle won the 10000m and will race the 5000m also. The 800m winner for both men and women were also white. Both the men's and women's 1500m could be a sweep or have 4-5/6 whites qualify to Rio. It seems once you get past 400m, whites own every other distance in USTF. I really hope Prandini can qualify in the 200m.

I have not followed the infield events as closely, but I assume there's strong representation there as well.

Daphne's body has gotten harder. When she first switched over to sprinting, she had a softer appearance. Heading into the Olympics, she'll be the favorite in the 200 and a major threat in the 100. Would love to see her pull a double.

3 white sprinters in the 100m 1/2/4th, all quite lovely to look at. Schippers is a terror. SFP and TB must be crapping out their PED's lol
