The reaction shots of Coach K after all those bonehead plays said it all. How he ended up with this years (non)mix of players I don't know, but he paid for it in crunch time. When I found myself gloating I reminded myself that he's given a lot of white players opportunities over the years.

He should have some roster spots open to rectify things when all those "five star recruits" who couldn't properly finish a college game go on to glory (or at least big money) in the NBA.

Duke has been the NE Patriots of College Basketball in terms of being perennially one of the most white friendly teams, but the latest trend is troubling. This is especially true with the lack of players at the semi-taboo positions of PG/SG, of which Duke has had many good ones over years. Maybe Coach K becoming the HC of Team USA has influenced his recruiting decisions to bring in more affletes, but it certainly backfired this year in the tourney.

I'm glad they lost and maybe he'll go back to the way things always were, which made this team one of the best in the history of college bb.

Cameron Bairstow is lighting it up today so far! 20 of his teams 35 points!

The 98-99 team was as black if not blacker. Starting line-up was all black and 2 reserves were also!

Chris Carrawell.....was a pretty good team, I hate to admit, went 37-2 and lost to UCONN in the final game!

The only 2 white players that got any time at all was Taymon Domzalski and Chris Burgess. Burgess later transferred to Utah, I believe.

I agree; Duke and Coach K have been right at the top of the list of most white-friendly and successful programs over the last 30 years. But this year was a huge disappointment. I'm glad they lost to a very white team.

Did anyone watch Harvard play yesterday? I have just been assuming that they are white friendly because they always are, but after seeing some of the photos from the game and the names in the box score, I'm not so sure.

They really aren't, but they are better than an all-black team. They have 1 white starter in Laurent Rivard, and 2 white reserves who play in Jonah Travis and Will Cummins.

For Duke, I'm not sure how much better it'll be next year. They have one white in their class in SG Grayson Allen, in addition to three more hyped up freshmen.

You know things are bad when we're glad that Harvard isn't all black! But of course it's because they now have a black coach.

It's a good thing that Mercer and Arizona have already won today, and Creighton is winning at halftime.

Gonzaga tips off against Oklahoma State in a few minutes in a solid caste matchup. I'm looking forward to seeing the Zags' huge Polish center Karnowiak, plus Kevin Pangos and Stockton. There are some other great games later today for our side.

Creightong, Mercer, Gonzaga and Arizona all winning today. Can't complain. I just hate that Gonzaga plays Arizona next and Creighton is also in that same bracket. So as a previous poster said several days ago, most of our elite teams will eliminate each other. I hate that!

Stephen F Austin, with three white starters, just best VCU and coach 'Shaka' in overtime......great game to watch.......they were down by 10 or so late in regular time and their White players balled down the stretch. This has been a great day with Mercer, Gonzaga, Arizona and SF Austin putting on shows for the DWFs

Unbelievable that SFA was able to come back and win this game. It looked like the game was over before Dawson made that 4-point play. This makes up for Arizona State losing Thursday night.

It's better that it was Duke

The DWFs HATE Duke, and they almost know why they hate Duke. It's very thinly veiled, so it's particularly awesome that Duke was bounced by Mercer. It would have still been great if it had been some other dark team, but this makes it soooooooo much better.

This was a Duke team whose motor wasn't always running, who did not bring their lunch pail, and was not composed of gym rats. It was all athleticism, upside and room-brightening smiles, and it was DUKE. The hatred just wasn't there from the DWFs this year. It's so obvious that a few of them might even have noticed it. They got beat by a team that looks a good bit like Duke used to look.

While we can all lament the dark turn of the roster at Duke, this might make it worth it. It's impossible to ignore.

There have been some really good posts here concerning Duke. Living in North Carolina most of my life and always been a Duke fan, it hasn't bothered me one bit they lost. Hopefully they'll wise up and get back to where they were. Like some of you said, Coach K has for the most part given white players a chance and the championships he has won have been with at least 2 and sometimes 3 white starters and or prominent white players coming off the bench.

Also, I find it interesting that these are some of the darkest days for Duke and North Carolina Basketball and for some reason they both are terrible!

Yesterday was an outstanding day for our side. Gonzaga, Creighton, SFA, Virginia, Arizona, and Mercer all won, with only New Mexico losing. Looking forward to Wisconsin an North Dakota State this evening.

Wisconsin is absolutely the Whitest team in the tournament. They keep at least 4 Whites on the floor at all times. As a number 2 seed, they are obviously a legitimate contender for the title. Up by 2 against Oregon with 7:30 to play.

Wisconsin beats Oregon 85-77. Awesome comeback by the Badgers who were down by 12 at the half. Wisconsin showed a lot of resiliency and toughness by being able to pull this one out. It was beautiful to see one of the black Oregon thugs lose his composure at the very end when he realized the game was lost and shove One of the Wisconsin players to the floor, for which Wisconsin was awarded four free throws and the ball. Love to see the Badgers in the Sweet 16!

It is shocking that Harvard is only down 4 to Michigan State with 2:00 left to go!

Solid win by Wisconsin in a close game, in what was a clear caste match-up. They should be favored in their next game as well, although if they play Creighton, it's tough call who to root for there. It would be nice to have at least one team to root for in the Final Four, AZ or WIS would be good choices.

Yeah, Oregon-Wisconsin was a pretty stark caste clash..
To me, Wisconsin looks like a vintage Duke squad..
After some recent early tournament exits, I've started hearing Duke fans I encounter, question Coach K's recent uncharacteristic caste recruiting. I wonder if that's happening on campus too (?)

Couldn't watch the whole Wisconsin-Oregon game. Announcers said Oregon was talking a lot of trash before the game, that they were very confident of winning. Good to see Wisconsin knock them off.

I was channel surfing last night and came across the end of Bill Maher's show on HBO where he does his "new rules" schtick. One of his "new rules" was that the NCAA tournament should be renamed "White Guys Watching Black Guys Play." A picture of several White players sitting on the bench was shown as he said it.

It was quite unfunny even ignoring how racist and inaccurate it was. But then again, Maher has centered his "comedy" career around viciously attacking Whites and Christians -- while at the same time posing as an "anti-racist." Oh, and he's a big-time supporter of apartheid Israel, which is never allowed to be criticized when foreign policy is being discussed on his show. What a disgusting, hypocritical pos Maher is. He never passes up a chance to show his hatred of Whites.

Several years ago I used to watch his show to get an opposing point of view. At times he was humorous, but since he has went all out against Catholics, Christians and Whites, I have stopped watching that prick over 4 years ago. There are no fly zones over jews, Isreal and negros. The group former mentioned non stop ridicule and hate. Oh, I bet the entire audience is mostly DWFs, dumb liberal whites and sheeple laughing non stop at the put downs. Amerika 2014....

Interestingly, maher is half jew and half Catholic. He is a tail of a large corrosive mutt.

I hate Bill Maher, but I have to agree with that statement. I've noticed the benches are overwhelmingly white, and so is the crowd. DWF are all over this sport, and I was checking the NBA mock draft and all of them only have one white college basketball player (Doug McDermett) as a first round pick.
