I feel it's time that we start a thread for Martin Keller. He ran a new p.b. today of 10.07 and he really has make great strides this
summer. By far the best season of his career. Hopefully he can continue to improve heading to the world championships of track
and field in Moscow, Russia starting in around a week from now.

What a confidence boost for him today. I'm pumped for this kid. Keller is a very fast fella!!:icon_mrgreen:

I've been searching everywhere for videos. There should be some up in the next several hours or at least I hope so. It would be a damn shame if neither race had video coverage. I highly doubt that. We should be able to see the replays soon and I can't wait.

Two german sprinters flirting with the 10 second barrier on the same day!

The Old German National Record of 10.06 still stands but just by a hair. Not for long with these guys.

I'm so happy for Martin Keller as Julian Reus always gets most of the attention. I love both of these sprinters!

For the German sprint relay Martin Keller was set. Now the Leipzig at the World Championships in Moscow (Russia, 10th to August 18th) must also look at a 100-meter individual start. The reward for his strong performance in Weinheim, where he was sprinting on Friday night in 10.07 seconds at position two of the eternal German leaderboard.

Martin Keller completed a strong season, the beginning of May in Clermont (USA) started with a bang: 9.99 seconds, but with significantly too much tailwind. At the World Cup standard of 10.15 seconds, he struggled in vain since then.

In Weinheim finally burst the node. And since he was already a season-member World Cup squad, could DLV sports director Thomas Kurschilgen announce on Saturday: Martin Keller is about 100 meters in Moscow also come in single competition for use.

Thus, the DLV two fast men sent into the race, because the set was already Wattenscheider Julian Reus, who had made clear to the World Cup start in the DM in Ulm in 10.14 seconds and in Weinheim shone with a time of 10.08 seconds.

For those interested, here is a video of the 9.99 wind race in Florida. It looks like one of the other sprinters had a clear false start but Keller ran him down as well as the rest of the field easily. It's in slow motion which makes it even better. Way to go Martin Keller. Good luck to
him in Moscow!
