Do you want to see the Africans triumph?
Italy's MVP player was on the England team: Ashley Young.

Why did England's coach have the useless Cole and Young take two shots at the end? Why not Gerrard, Rooney or somebody else?

Caste system 101 - the coach thinks blacks are better athletes - and of course the Negroes lose it for England (like the useless Balotelli almost lost it for Italy).

Not sure who to cheer for in Italy v. Germany. Both start one black who is the worst on the team. If one sits their quota black I will cheer for the other.

Spain an obvious choice over Portugal.

To be fair in Cole, he did come through for Chelsea on penalties at the Champions League final. They probably thought he could do it again. As a Chelsea fan, it would be remiss of me not to point that out.

then it will be germany, because i don't see boateng playing after his horrible match against greece

balotelli will play because no matter how bad he is he always plays
incredible how many opportunities he missed today

Free-kick for Italy and Mario Balotelli drifts it way over the top. Awful.

MOTD's Alan Shearer in Kiev:"It is very tight. I'm happy with us going forward but defensively we've been iffy. I don't think we've worked hard enough to stop Pirlo. If Balotelli had his shooting boots on it could have been different.

James Levy on Twitter: "What a miss!!!! Balotelli is really getting angry now!

in the penalty kicks the most important ones are the first and the last
that's why gerrard took the first one

then rooney took the second one, and maybe he should have taken the last ones since he seems to be pretty good at it

i think it was the best thing that could happen, italy won and their only black player was horrible and failed to score
england, the blackest team, is finally out

in addition, the only english players who missed their penalty kicks were blacks (i was nervous about carroll because he missed a penalty kick this season with liverpool)

England needs to get someone else on the left like Johnson. They need more passers in the midfield. Parker is more of a defensive player, while Gerrard is more of a power player. Wilshere should come in and start. Milner is not much of a passer either.

I would build the team around Wilshere and Rooney. Maybe Phil Jones can play midfield.

carroll-rooney would be the perfect strikers, very complementary

the only problem is that they are both white and in europe nowadays it's very politically incorrect to have 2 white strikers, almost impossible

the man of the match was pirlo, perfect from the first minute to the penalty kicks

Spain, Portugal and Germany have all white strikers, don't they?

I can't say that I was surprised by the result...I expected a draw, but I also thought that England would have more ball possession and shots on goal (and assumed that they would be slight favourites once it became clear that spot kicks would decide the game).

Amazing penalty by Pirlo (reminds me of the one scored by Helder Postiga - Portugal vs. England penalty shootout in the 1/4 final of the 2006 World Cup, David James was the English goalkeeper who tried to save it).

The Italian substitute Diamanti did quite well and Glen Johnson, Terry, Lescott, Hart, Gerrard and Parker did not disappoint. Pirlo, Nocerino and Montolivo impressed me a lot.

Ashley Cole rarely crumbles under pressure....however, he didn't seem very confident before taking his penalty kick and made it easy for Buffon. I think that Roy Hodgson will stay on and the FA will give him a chance to implement his own ideas and bring new or untested faces (like Wilshere, Roger Johnson, Shawcross, Richards) into the fold during the 2014 World Cup qualifying matches.

I can't say that any of the quarter-finals could be characterized as masterpieces, but the Portugal vs. Spain and Italy vs. Germany matches should satisfy the soccer purists. Italy is a bogey team for Germany, though die Mannschaft are slight favourites to prevail against the Italians given how both teams have played so far. Matches involving neighbouring or culturally similar countries (e.g. Iberian vs. Iberian or Germanic vs. Germanic) are in my opinion somewhat less interesting, but Spain and Portugal differ in their playing styles and are considered rivals, so their match won't be boring.

Only three matches remaining...one should enjoy the tournament while it lasts!

Kloseeee! What a header by one of my favorite players!

Yeah, that goal was marvelous and seemingly came out of nowhere. He scored the majority of the goals that allowed Germany to qualify for the 2012 Euro Cup Finals (9 goals in only 6 caps, literally scoring in every single qualifier match in which he played), so I was happy that he started ahead of Gomez and hope that he starts in Thursday’s match. If only he’d have performed his trademark “Salto Klose†front-flip in celebration…

klose-goal-greece.jpg

CAPTION: German National Treasure

Klose was inches away from two other goals, one in which he was erroneously whistled “offside†very early in the match and one that he struck which lead to Reus’ goal off the deflection…

Speaking of Reus’ goal, did anyone else notice his little Zulu dance routine, one which he gleefully performed alongside the slowest player in German football history, Jerome Boateng? Utterly disgraceful behavior…

Jack Lambert said:
Here in the US, Stephen McManaman just said Boateng was afraid of the ball, when he turned his back and it resulted in the penalty. Also, he just mentioned that Lars Bender could replace Boateng in the next game.

Yes, the ever-PC commentator, McManaman, was undoubtedly unimpressed with the brain-devoid, slow-footed, brown mongrel. He was responsible for both of Greece’s goals, and McManaman repeatedly mentioned this fact. Given his history as a Negro-flattering orator, his comments were certainly surprising. I hope his prediction of Lars Bender assuming Boateng’s post is accurate.

Foobar75 said:
Germany needs to make 2 changes, and they instantly become a better team, and easy to root for. Boateng need not play another minute and should be benched immediately. Lars Bender did well against Denmark and should be the natural replacement. I'd also sit Podolski in favor of either Reus or Schurrle. Up front, any 3 of the 4 (Gomez, Muller, Klose, Reus/Schurrle) would be fine. And Schweini needs to play a lot better than he did in the Greece game, or else, Die Mannschaft may not even make the final.

Right, and it’s important to keep in mind that despite Germany’s nauseating attempts at “diversity,†their forwards (Klose and Gomez) and wingers (Muller, Podolski, Reus, and Schurrle) absorb nearly every single scoring opportunity, with their midfielders (Schweinsteiger, Ozil, Khedira) taking few shots on goal. Of their non-whites, only Sami Khedira (the shamefully-ugly goon) has produced a goal. Jerome Boateng will never have the chance to score, and Ozil rarely shoots. If Toni Kroos were to start over Khedira, and Bender over Boateng, I’d have no problem supporting the German side (as Ozil is talented and could be mistaken for a hideous-looking white person).

Concerning the French team, there was unrest yet again caused by the Arab and Black players, particularly Samir Nasri and Hatem Ben Arfa. It seems that this was the main reason why Blanc put Nasri on the bench in the match against Spain, in addition to Nasri's fairly poor run of games in the group stage.

Which is just typical of these Arab players. Nasri comes across as mentally weak, lacking in discipline, and is very selfish with his play. This is unlike the ruthless professionalism of someone like Cristiano Ronaldo. This guy is a toxic presence and Blanc should cut him and also Ben Arfa from France's future plans if he stays on as the coach.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-in-the-locker-room-following-the-sweden-loss
Following France's agonizing 2-0 defeat to Sweden on Tuesday evening, two separate spats allegedly emerged—one between manager Laurent Blanc and winger Hatem Ben Arfa; the other between midfielders Samir Nasri and Alou Diarra.

Per reports, Ben Arfa was furious at having been substituted at what he deemed a premature moment (59') in the match. After Blanc singled him out for talking on his cell phone in the post-match dressing room, Ben Arfa reportedly told Blanc that if he did not want him on the pitch, he might as well send him home.

Diarra sought out Nasri after the final whistle to make known his disappointment in the Manchester City mid, whom Diarra felt did not track back frequently enough, shirking the majority of his defensive duties. This set Nasri off, and the two were said to have been engaged in a heated argument.

Things got so harried that Florent Malouda, one of the few members of that ignominious 2010 squad that Blanc brought to the European Championships, said that the scenes "definitely awoke some demons" for him. Malouda quickly noted that it was nowhere near as bad as it had been two years ago, but the damage had been done.

Concerning the France vs Spain game, the French were wrong to be so defensive. Their defense wasn't good enough for that. France played very well against Ukraine and I think that Blanc should have used the line-up from that game, and replace Nasri with Valbuena. Spain are vulnerable with Pique and Ramos at the back, who usually make a lot of mistakes.

France's best players in that game were Ribery, Koscielny, and Lloris. Ribery was the only one who really threatened the Spanish, but he didn't get enough support from the invisible Benzema, who was an absolute flop in this Euro cup. Koscielny's defense was excellent and Lloris made a bunch of important stops.

Clichy and Malouda were mostly to blame for Xabi Alonso's goal. Malouda just stood still in his own half as Xabi made it all the way to the goal. Instead of marking Xabi, Clichy just stood by the goal.

Malouda seems to be a real favorite of Blanc. That's because based on his Chelsea form, when he mostly rode the bench, there would be no way Malouda would even make it in France's squad.

The Spanish defenders were disgraceful with all of their diving every time a French attacker with the ball got near them. This was why Jeremy Menez cursed at the referee and received a booking. Menez, by the way, is a very talented winger with great skill and athleticism. But on the pitch he behaves like a negro with his attitude problems and often poor decision-making. He would be as good as Cristiano Ronaldo if he had better discipline and work rate.

Spain's lineup of playing with a striker is just poor strategy. Fabregas is not and will never be a striker, he is the same type of player as Xavi and Iniesta. It did not work well at all against Italy, and they've only ever looked really dangerous when Torres has been on the pitch. But it seems that the Barcelona clique hates Torres and instead of quickly delivering through balls for him, they just pass it around endlessly, allowing the defenders enough time to track his runs. Torres was offside a bunch of times during his time in the game vs. France because of this.

Absolutly. Pirlo is such a classy player. The way he holds the ball and dribbles while looking a teammate to pass the ball, the way he controls the pace of the game... Very few players can do that in todays game. This kind of playmakers are dissapearing. And the "Panenka" penalty was absolutly sublime.
How could Milan let him go, it's a mistery to me... But hey - they get to keep Robinho!

Carroll is a very limited player. Other than winning headers and his powerful shot, I really don't see what he's good for. He looks clumsy and immobile, is not fast enough, and not very good with his feet. Worse, there are reports about his lack of discipline and professionalism off the pitch. The modern game needs more well-rounded strikers like Suarez, Ibrahimovic and Van Persie. England has not had a world-class striker since Michael Owen.

In the England/Italy game, Carroll was quite good in his role: he won a lot of headers and controlled most of the long balls towards him. But he couldn't pick out a pass at all.

I didn't know that Gareth Bale could have played for England, but nobody from the national team called him personally. They only did it through an agent, so he went with Wales. Imagine him instead of Young on the left.

Italy's basic problem is the lack of firepower. They just don't have a enough clinical finishers like Vieri or Inzaghi to deliver the goals. There's Di Natale, but they keep on going with Balotelli even though he's failed. Either with his club form or record with Italy, and especially the Euro Cup games so far, Balotelli has NOT earned his spot in Italy's squad. He's only got 3 goals in 17 caps for Italy.

I would agree regarding Carroll. He doesn't seem to have a good touch and is pretty slow. From what I've seen he's used as a big menacing presence milling around the penalty area in the hope of catching the odd long ball, attracting defensive resources and opening space for players coming in from the background or iducing panicky plays from the defense. OK for a "long ball" game, but not good enough for a posession/passing game. The problem is - much of the time you are playing with a player less in the field. England was embarrassingly inferior in passing today.
If England had to put a big guy in, I would much prefer Peter Crouch. He's no Ibrahimovic, but is faster, pretty decent with his legs and even returns to defend from time to time.

I wouldn't agree that England didn't have a good striker since Owen. Rooney is a pretty complete player in my opinion and a great striker. He's fast, athletic, good with the ball (even with his left leg), solid shot, header, world class positioning - seems to always know where the ball will end up... Like a chess player thinking 2-3 moves ahead.

Rooney is of course England's best attacker right now, but he's not a pure striker, he's a #10 or a creative attacking midfielder just like Cassano.

Milan thought that Pirlo was washed up. He had a bunch of injuries in 2010-11 and hardly played any games. So they let Pirlo join Juventus on a free transfer. But Pirlo ended up having possibly his best season ever, and Juve went unbeaten to take the Serie A title.

Imagine him instead of Young on the left.

The Black attackers Welbeck, Young, and Walcott were exposed as the talentless bums that they are, and are a reflection of the deep crisis English football finds itself in. There would be no way that any of these players would come close to making Spain's bench or even those of Germany, France, Holland, and Italy. France, for example, did not have enough space for their bright young winger Antoine Griezmann, who right now looks world-class compared to the likes of Ashley Young.

Welbeck to me looks like Emile Heskey's successor. He was pretty much invisible during most of the Cup. He has the first touch of an elephant, constantly loses possession, can't pass, can't control a ball.

Ashley Young showed in this cup that he is a below average player. He has gotten stinging criticism from English media and fans about his horrid performances. He was beyond useless: unable to keep the ball, beat a man, or deliver a decent cross.

this is exactly why is said that the carroll-rooney duo was the best thing possible
i said that they are complementary (i don't even know if it's the right way to say it in english)
one is slow, the other is fast
one is tall, the other is smaller
one is a world class header, the other is not
one is immobile (not sure about that, he moves a lot and defends a lot, sometimes commiting useless fouls but he's young) the other one moves better
one is left footed, the other is right footed
one has short hair, the other has long hair :biggrin1:
both have very good shots

it would be the same with the suarez-carroll duo in liverpool by the way

carroll is one of the best in the world at what he does
he will never be a small skilled player, but he's a great pure striker

I would agree regarding Carroll. He doesn't seem to have a good touch

carroll is very very skilled
he has the kind of skills that you don't see often in europe
he's a blessing, a miracle

in this tournament, the only match in which he played as a starter, he scored!
and it was one of the most beautifull goals of the tournament
you are both very harsh with him
he has some work to do, he still has to be polished, but he's an unbelievable talent, england won't produce another player like him every year

otherwise "john", great posts and i agree about everything from the french arabs to the english blacks
i think you are the one who keeps coming under different usernames
i wish you would stick to 1 username
