Heh, the Pats O-Line doesn't take crap from anyone.

Is it just me or did in that shoving contest Von Miller look much, much smaller than Light and Connolly? At first I thought it was a safety shoving the Patriots O linemen but then they said it was Von Miller and I thought What?!

Von Miller is 6'3" 245 and probably overbilled on his height. He was way in over his head messing around with Matt Light and Connolly and him and his zulu brethern got tossed around accordingly.

After this incredible display of offensive firepower, it would be a huge upset now if the Pats do not make it to the SB. Baltimore has played terrible on the road all year, and even with their supposedly vaunted D, I like the Pats at home. As for HOU, I hope they win tomorrow and we get a best case scenario AFC title game.

I wish Tebow the best in the offseason and I'm sure he'll put in a lot of effort and get better. As has been pointed out, the Broncos have a lot of holes that need to be filled, but QB is not one of them.

I think Matt Light is listed at 6'4 and Connolly is actually shorter around 6'2 or 6'1 (I'm going from memory) so I really doubt Miller is 6'3.

Am I confused about his position - he's a D lineman right? Or is he a LB? 6'3 245 seems small for a D lineman.

Yes, Steve Urkel on Steriods decided to go after and cheap shot Connolly. Not only did Connolly not puss-out, he got help from Matt Light, who will fight anyone in the league at any time and has no trouble fighting over-aggressive black defenders -- note the Thanksgiving game @ Lions in 2010 going after Suh and the memorable Channing Crowder brawl....Funny thing, is once the Patriots black players saw the Bronc-gals getting beat down, they jumped into the fray and started throwing punches. Looks like the "womenz from da city of Denva" got their @sses whipped in several ways tonight.

My guess is the Grambling Broncos did not like Brady's "quick kick" on third down, feeling the Pats were trying to humiliate them further, so Miller found the first available "cracker" to fight...He didn't realize these boys fight back!!!

On a side note - I guess this blows up the theory Skip Bayless had about the Broncos win last week being the result of Eric Decker not playing.

Okay - been a fun night - see you guys tomorrow to talk about the games :)

No way would CNN mock any other QB (whether black, Muslim, whatever) like this, let alone make his downfall the subject of a CNN "breaking news" email. Just another example of why I believe all these efforts are linked, whether you are talking about the White race or Christianity. It is maddening!

The New England Patriots don't give Tim Tebow the chance for a miracle in a 45-10 playoff rout of the Denver Broncos.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady passed for 5 touchdowns in the first half as New England rolled to a 35-7 lead at halftime. He finished with 363 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Tebow was just 9 for 26 for 136 yards and no touchdowns.

Tebow is an outspoken evangelical Christian whose penchant for last-minute heroics this season gave him a reputation as a miracle worker.

Denver won last week's playoff game against the Steelers when Tebow connected with Demaryius Thomas for an 80-yard touchdown on the first play of overtime.

Tebow took over the Broncos quarterback reins after a Week 4 shellacking by the Green Bay Packers. Denver went 7-5 the rest of the season, including a run of six straight wins, some in the final minutes, to reach the playoffs.

Outstanding offensive showing from the Brady, Gronk & the Pats! Here's to hoping the Texans & Pack win tomorrow!

Tebow will inevitably receive all the blame for the loss. I hope he gets traded to another team during the off season. I want him to play under a coach who actually knows how to utilize a playbook so he can put up some nice stats and shut up the DWF's

A few observations from today (a very good day of football) before I call it a night:
  • Very happy for Alex Smith and what he was able to do today, especially in that wild 4th quarter. And to think this man was essentially given up on by useless affirmative action hire Mike Singletary goes to show how important it is for the right man, and not some Rooney man, to coach an NFL team. Hopefully Smith will now have a long, bright future in the NFL, and credit goes to Harbaugh for sticking with him.
  • Nice the see the Patriots offense, and especially their White players lead by Gronk, coming up big in this game. Brady & Co were motivated and got that long awaited playoff win.
  • Home teams are now 6-0, so homefield has proven crucial this year. I hope the Pack hold that trend, while the Texans break it tomorrow.
  • A very good day for TEs today, and we have some good ones tomorrow to look for also. TE is not a forbidden position, so it's continued emphasis on offense hopefully means the current ratio of 50:50 will at least continue, with Whites excelling in this position for years to come.

i was happy with Marino and the others stating that Broncos will and do miss Decker several times throughout the broadcast.

i wasn't happy with this (carries, yards, ypc, longest):

Danny Woodhead4256.311

why the hell waste carries on Green-Ellis??? Ridley at least got a decent ypc on his 4 carries, same amount as Danny. that's one thing that's truly frustrating on Pats.

Seems Edelman is playing both ways. Haven't seen an NFL player do that in quite awhile.

The Pats have had a chance to rest and heal up, so they should be energized. They've had an intense week of practice and the players are focused. They've been constantly reminded by the media and fans that they choked under pressure last year with their quick exit from the playoffs. It won't happen again this time around. 48-10, Pats.

For those who forgot, Highlander posted this the day before the Pats-Broncos game. Great job, my friend.

For those who missed the fight between Von Miller and Light/Connolly, here is the video...

My impressions of Saturday's games:

I felt that the jock sniffers (and certainly his own coach) unfairly focused on Vernon Davis, instead of Alex Smith, after that dramatic last second TD. Why was so much attention paid to a catch that every NFL receiver should make, every time? I can't imagine Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers being practically ignored in such a situation.

Combined with his clutch, athletic TD run a bit earlier, the story should have been Alex Smith's incredibly clutch play down the stretch. Instead, drama queen Davis was embraced and kissed by Jim "Psycho" Harbaugh, as the cameras lovingly zoomed in, while the true hero-Alex Smith-remained lost in the background, presumably with the white special teams' demons. Why wasn't Harbaugh hugging the real hero; his much maligned QB?

Anyway, I was glad to see the 49ers win, primarily because of Alex Smith. I've had more than enough of the "win it for Katrina" nonsense, and as I've noted before, no QB in the league gets the kind of consistent protection, on nearly every play (not to mention the stat-inflating playbook, featuring lots of short TD passes that should be running plays) that Brees does. He's undeniably good, but I'd like to see what he'd do behind even an average line.

The Patriots were awesome, and it was great to see Gronk shine like that. Like others, I can't help being baffled by Danny Woodhead's continuing lack of use. It is indeed a waste of time to hand off to Green-Ellis, when you have a dynamic back like Woodhead, who does everything much better.

Tebow had no chance yesterday. Moronic coach Fox continued his ridiculous tactic of running the ball on every first down, even when they were down by 35 points. He never went into a hurry up mode, and it was hilarious to watch the team up by 35 points still going no huddle and empty backfield, while Fox's "creative" offense continued to run, run and then try a desperation third down pass on every possession.

I've never seen such horrific "protection" from an offensive line- how could that awful defense get through them on every pass play? Many times, Tebow didn't even have 2 seconds to set and throw. No QB can perform under those conditions. But, as always, the "journalists" and DWFs will give all the blame to the QB, much as the Brees and Rodgers of the world get all the credit, while having 7-8 seconds to find an open receiver on most pass plays.

My guess is that Denver will draft an "athletic" WR fairly high, to "help" Tebow. We can all guess who that afflete will replace. Decker will be lucky to still get to play the racially acceptable position of slot (or 3rd) WR. Regardless of whose fault it is, the treatment of Decker over the last half of this season was a disgrace and unprecedented. When is the last time an NFL WR had 9 total TDs during the first half of a season, and zero during the last half, while still starting and playing every game?

If Houston can beat the dreaded Ravens today, then the last truly odious team will be eliminated from the playoffs. A Patriots-Texans championship game would probably be the most truly diverse such contest in the past thirty years. Now that would constitute some progress.

Brees was pressured ALL GAME, and he played admirably! Does anyone forget Pierre Thomas' lost fumble -- inside the 5 -- on the the Saints' first drive? Or, Sproles fumble-lost on a punt return? Brees did not "choke" on the road in San Fran...

San Fran was winning the field-position battle ALL GAME, so New Orleans had to throw some shorter passes to get 1st downs, and then take their shots down field. It was in the 2nd half that New Orleans executed this strategy quite well, and damn near won the game. Brees did not shrink from the moment. With less than a minute remaining, his "D" let him down, a D that I've called suspect all season.

On some occasions, when Aaron Rodgers has played against quality pass-rushing teams, I've seen him go into "dink mode".. but maybe we are supposed to sweep that under the rug and say that he's "carving up the D!"

backrow, It's very frustrating seeing Woodhead get so few carries and I like stats.

I always like to take the long run away and see how the averages work out, so the black jock sniffers can't use something like well the brotha has the ability to break longer runs so to speak, but in Woodhead's case it doesn't work, does it? He still had the longer run!

BG 12carries - 19yds. - 1.6 yds/carry

DW 3 carries - 14yds. - 4.7 yds/carry

Makes you wonder why New England still refuses to give Woodhead the bulk of the carries!

Id like to know what youv'e been smoking if you think the Saints have anything more than an average line. There line is average AT BEST. They have the most overrated guard tandem. No offense to Justin Smith because he he is a beast, but Bushrod gets dominated like that on the regular basis. People don't realize how mobile Brees is and how quick his feet are in the pocket, thats why Mark Brunell didn't look like he belonged in the league anymore behind the Saints line the other year, but looked much improved when he has gotten time with the Jets. I don't know why Brees has become the new whipping boy for some posters, he is an elite talent stuck on a coal black team. His backs have more rushing tds than Rodgers so I don't know about this whole "short td pass" thing. Yeah they pass, its a pass happy league, and he is at the top with Brady and Rodgers. "Win for Katrina" hasn't been said in a while from I have heard, and as I previously mentioned, it affected A LOT of WHITE people, much more than black. I had to deal with subhumans for a good deal of time and rather not think about it, one of the reasons for my changing of views.

Good to see Alex Smith come back and drive the ball down the field like that. I too wish they would have shown the long td run a little bit more, that changed the momentum.

A perfectly thrown deep ball by Joe Flacco clanks off the hands of Torrey Smith. Then the first bounce of a punt slowly and easily heading toward Jacoby Jones clanks off his hands as part of a huge bonehead play. Maybe some of the NFL's corporate sponsors should donate money toward a program aimed at improving the horrific hand-eye coordination of so many of the World's Greatest Athletes.

I'd say this is a case of poor decision-making more than anything. As Dierdoff said there was just no upside to going for that ball with Ravens so close to him. You can improve a player's skills but you can't fix stupid.

Brooks Reed is going to be better than Mario Williams, i hope Texan will act accordingly and let Williams go instead of overpaying him.
