I know Amir Khan isn't white but I was certainly rooting for him against supa afflete Lamont Peterson. Khan claims there was a mystery man at the judges table. You just can't make this stuff up. We've certainly questioned many fight outcomes before and Khan looks like he has some credibility with this claim.

Britain's Amir Khan took to Twitter on Thursday as he stepped up his complaints over his world title defeat by Lamont Peterson in Washington last month.
He told his followers on the social networking site he was particularly concerned by the presence of an unknown man in a hat at ringside, who he claimed was talking to bout supervisor Michael Walsh, in contravention of a rule that states no one should speak to officials while a fight is in progress.
Khan lost his International Boxing Federation (IBF) and World Boxing Association (WBA) titles to Peterson in a close points decision, with referee Joe Cooper taking two points away from Khan for pushing.
Without that deduction, Khan would have kept his titles and there was further controversy over the unusually long delay that ensued between the final bell and the announcement of the judges' scorecards.

Khan's appeal against his defeat is due to be heard later this month.
In the meantime the 26-year-old took expressed his latest concerns with a series of tweets and links to video footage of the fight.
"Sat on the main judges panel at the front on the right hand side 3rd to the end… From round 6 all the way through to round 12 this guy starts to interfere with what Michael Walsh is doing and they are both not watching the fight, watch the video and have a look for yourselfs (sic)," Khan posted.
"No one is allowed according to the rules to touch hold the scorescards or even talk to the judges on commission during the fight.
"There are 3 judges in a fight n all have different colour slips, n at the end of evry round thy get passed on to the wba, ibf n dc commission.
"This pic shows here in round 6 the guy wearing the hat clearing picks up one of the judges white slips n if you watch the video slides it down and towards him."
Khan added: "Again in round 8 and round 9, cleary not watching the fight at all and not allowing Michael Walsh to watch too.
"This time in round 11 he's seen here clearly picking up a yellow judges slip.. Strictly againts the rules.
"I want Michael Walsh to come out and speak out about what was going on, it's only right and fair to do so.
"The question is.. Who is this guy? And what was he doing? I'm sure someone out there knows."

The fight was fairly close, I had Khan winning by one point. But the hometown referee was blatently helping the hometown boxer Peterson, and needlessly deducted two points from Khan.

Amir was fighting two men in the ring that night.

Nice to see Dan Rafael was honest about it, unlike some others in the media who always want the negro boxer to win and ignore dishonest officiating that favors them.

It was not the performance people expected from Khan and some may be right when they say he was "exposed" in that fight because he's probably not as good as his supporters said he was.

But he still won the fight and taking his two belts away might be one of the most disgusting robberies of 2011.

Here is a good video which shows the "mystery man" Amir Khan is referring to.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQQrK2ty5ys

This man (Negro, wearing black suit with electric blue dress shirt underneath) has now been identitifed as an IBF official. This Negro is seen talking to the Fight Supervisor, Touching scorecards, pointing at scorecards, speaking, yelling and whispering to the Fight Supervisor. The Fight Supervisor is tasked with tallying judge scores after each round.

This Negro was blatantly breaking the rules and acting illegally by interfering with the scoring process of the fight. It seems at some times he is almost yelling at the Fight Supervisor, almost instructing him to change the scores.

The scores collected after the fight show that rounds 7 and 8 on 2 of the cards had been changed (also shown in the youtube video I posted).

Although this man is apparently some sort of IBF official. **IBF HAVE STATED THAT THE MAN WAS NOT ATTENDING THE FIGHT ON ANY WORK**.

The man was therefore attending the fight on his own accord, and was not allowed to be touching, or interfering with the scoring.

Add to that the fact that the referee seemed to be very hardlined and excessively penalized Khan.

In my personal opinion this is fight was absolutely FIXED.

Ive been a diehard boxing fan for over 10 years, I love boxing, and things like this just ruin the sport and make American Boxing look pathetic.

Khan got robbed, the Fight was fixed, this Negro businessman influenced change on the cards, and all officials wanted Peterson to win.

Europeans honestly cannot win decisions in the USA and this fight proves that. I also wonder how many other Europeans have been robbed in the past (Kotelnik, Matthysse, Sturm, Zbik instantly come to mind as Euros who've been robbed in the USA, probably in similar fixed fights)

After this fiasco, I dont think any Europeans should be fighting in USA. Its crooked and you will be robbed. This proves that. They will rob you blindly and 100% fix the fight. The actual scoring of the fight is fixed.

International bodies are agreeing with me (WBA have already ordered a rematch due to suspicious nature of the scoring) because the fight will probably be declared a No-Contest, in which case Khan will get his championships back. This fight was obviously fixed.

I had Amir winning by two points with the deducted points, 4 without the corrupt ref deducted points. In terms of high profile fights in 2011, this ranks as the 2nd all time rip off of 2011. Cisora being ripped off by Hellinius, where Robert was given a gift decision. Robert, although I wanted him to have a another breakout performance won only 2 rounds in that home town gift decision.

Excellent post. You are 100% correct.

And thank's for the video, it's very obvious from watching something shady was going on with that guy interacting with the judges during the fight.

Further reports coming out in the past day or so have yielded that the Negro businessman is in fact *not* an official of the IBF.

Understand that in this situation, we essentially have a random Negro with no boxing or legal affiliation whatsoever fooling, touching, and interfering with the scorecards of a world title unification bout. :icon_rolleyes:

Clearly, the breaking of these rules is reason enough in itself to declare the fight a NoContest. You have a random guy tampering with the scorecards.

I am actually beginning to think that Khan has a chance of winning the appeal - because of the video evidence and the dodgy looking scorecards.
But I also think the Judge who gave it to Khan 115 to 110 was way off the mark. It was close.
