Ben Lewis a 6'3" Wr from Middletown , Maryland has signed on to play for Syracuse. Syracuse has gone coal black in recent years at the skill positions. I wonder why they went after an obscure receiver from way out of state. I could name 20 Ben Lewis's in NY state right now with the skills to play D1.

Bump for update on offer and commit list. Especially gratifying was Austin Sheehan going to Kentucky. He only had on FBS offer, and it wasn't from Air Force or North Texas or Wyoming, but from an actual SEC school. Also like Ben Lewis going to Syracuse, thanks mattharper for that one.

No problem Referendum. It looks like this new poster ( rock and Roll ) is adding to the forum as well among all the other great posters here. Its sad that Ive watched 5 or 6 of our guys who have a ton of obvious talent and they arent getting a sniff. Its crazy. I think we are going to need Shipley, Nelson, Durham , Welker , White an Collie to have a super 2011 season to keep opening peoples eyes. I wonder before youtube how many of our guys went unlooked. The nfl would probably only be about 35 percent black if the right guys got a chance out of high school.

Taylor Oldham a 6'2" wr out of Warner Christian Academy in Florida has signed on to play ball at the U. of Central Florida. Hes got decent speed but hes an absolute beast in the air. Hes got great hands but even greater body control. He can run after the catch as well but his ball skills are clearly his best asset. Rivals of course has him as a 1 star prospect. At least SOME D1 schools can see beyond the BS Rivals and Scout put out reguraly.

Whoever found Danny Anthrop out of Indiana and his 4.37 speed , thanks. He has an offer from Buffalo. This kid can accelerate. I wonder if he could challenge Florida's Hayden Jones for speed. He almost looks like he could crack a high 4.2 but maybe its the camera angle. He has only run a 11 flat 100 meters but he certainly can turn the corner in a hurry.

Tony Melchiori a 5'11" wr from small town Aurora , Ohio has accepted an offer from Kent state. He has 4.5 speed and a 39 inch vertical jump. His highlights are so so but with his measurables Kent state saw something in him I guess. Our list keeps growing.

Eric Smith, a wr out of Montgomery County High school has an offer from Middle Tennessee State. According to his wall on his Facebook page. He is 6'1" and has timed 4.49 forty speed. i dont know if hes going to be a deep threat in college but he catches the over the shoulder deep ball like he had a lacrosse's goalie stick for hands. Vanderbilt has some interest in him but I have no clue if they will offer.

Parker Barrineau has been mentioned here before. He has no offers yet he may be aiming to high as he lists Alabama and Tennessee as possible schools. I passed him by but on further review I found out loser Tom Lemming actually has him as one of his top 20 Wrs in the country. So I youtube the kid and man is he good. Hes not going to be a deep threat but man can this kid run after the catch. He has an arsenal of stutter steps and cuts and looks like an NFl rb out there. Hes also cat quick and has an array of moves to gain separation against corners. There are a couple of his highlights where he literally fakes out 5 or 6 defenders on his way to an improbable touchdown. If Mike Rogers can play for Tennessee right now i dont see why this kid wouldint get an offer but I hope he winds up as pass happy SMU. This kid has some NFL talent.

Barrineau in my honest opinion is the most elusive wr I have seen on any level in my 27 years of watching football. PERIOD!!!

Michael Fine, a 6-4 wideout with 4.55 speed from Springdale Har-Ber (AR),should get offered by a Division I program. he's been drawing a lot of interest after a big junior year, where he averaged over 26 yards-per-catch (34 catches, 897 yards) and had 12 touchdowns.
but, of course, it's the same every year in Arkansas ... Fine and Varady (mentioned up the page a bit) are not unusual, in that Arkansas high schools produce numerous ideal prospects at wideout each year ... except they're White. and hence, they don't get scholarship offers. for example, Varady is very nearly a clone to Michael Heintzman, who played for the same high school (Fayetteville, AR class of 2010). Heintzman put up HUGE numbers both on the field and at various combines, yet went completely un-recruited. he ended up walking on at Arkansas and hasn't been heard from since.

hopefully the same won't be said of the talented White wideouts in Arkansas this year.

Parker Kenney a 6'3" wr out of Concord , NC is getting some strong interrest from NC State. Hes got 4.43 40 and 10.75 100 meter speed. I hope he stays at receiver but he looks to be a very natural athletic free safety. Hes got some hops and very good range. He is attending several college camps this summer.

Mattharper, where are you getting Parker Kenneys' times from? The best time in the 100m was at a hand timed event was 11.14 which translates to about 11.45 electronic. In the state regional he ran 11.36. He didn't make it to states! If he runs 10.75 100m, he would have probably been in the top 5 in the state.

Not trying to rain on his parade, I'm just skeptical about some of these numbers, based on whatI'm seeing in person vs. what someone posts.

I can name many others wherethis this happens, but I really don't feel the need to embarrasskids, but I guess they shouldn't put up false numbers.

Hey Carolina. I got it off his youtube promo video. When hes playing receiver he dosent look to have 4.4 speed but then when I evaluate guys from youtube I go with what looks right. Ive called many of our guys " not a deep threat " when they dont look as fast as their posted times.

Hey referendum we have 2 more signings. Josh Weeks will be attending BYU but I dont know a lot about the guy. Braden Bishop out of California is going to Washington as a wr as well. Bishop looks the part of a deep threat but I dont know his measurables.

Thanks Mattgianone for heads up on Weeks, I had missed that one. Also, Jake Ganus to UAB. UAB was his only offer outside of the service schools. A great example of where just one offer from a school is so important.

Thanks Referendum. Good to see Jake Ganus get a UAB invite. UAB was very white friendly a half decade ago with rb Dan Burks and WR Sam Coon among a few. I still hope they offer rb Georgie Salem with his 4.3 speed. Salem does have a baseball scholarship to Alabama but Id rather see him on the gridiron. The guy is just as talented Ive seen in 15 years. Oh by the way my real name is Mattharper. When Caste changed over I couldint relog in so I just created a new name.

Eric Belew a 6'3" 180 lb wr from Columbia, Tennessee has verbaled to Memphis. Hes probably not a 4.4 guy but he runs smooth. I think our list should now should be up to 28 verbals for 2012.

I've seen Michael Fine play numerous times and he has been able to get deep on every single defensive back that has covered him. With his size at 6-4 and ability to make the big play, you would think that every school in the region would be on him but he has no scholarship offers.

Har-Ber also has another very good wide receiver in Evan Johnson, who is 6-2, 185 pounds, that does not have a single offer so far.

Chandler Miller a 6'4" 192 lb. wide r. has been called the next Joe Jurvicius. He is out of Richmond, Indiana. He is close to getting an offer from Purdue and Indiana is recruiting him as well.

Texas wr Blake Webb is now up to 5 offers , all good D 1 schools and Florida receiver Daniel Braverman is up to 10 offers including Wake Forest. I would love to see him go to Wake and watch him blow it up with wr/kr Mike Companaro.

Weve mentioned Grant Childress from Tyler , Texas before. This kid has all the tools. Hes 6,1" , 4.49 forty though he really can accelerate, and I think an underrated 35 inch vertical. Hes great after the catch and just is real smooth. He has just one offer from Nevada which is crazy. In a fair world he should have about 20 offers by now. Maybe he cant block but Id take the upside in a second. If he signs with Nevada I bet he sees the field as a true freshman.
