This should be the game of the weekend. The Colts are trying to stay undefeated and raise their record to a
amazing 8-0.Peyton has never won up there in Foxborough.
I predict a win for the Colts. In fact,I think that this is their year to win it all.Stokley will need to have a big game because they will concentrate on shutting down M.Harrison and R.Wayne.It should be a close one.I will predict the Colts win by a score of 24-21.

The Colts-Patriots game is the Monday night matchup, which is even better. I bet Peyton throws at least one touchdown pass to his roomie Brandon in this one!

I predict the patriots will win once again. The reason I believe this is that the colts have played a lot of weak competition and have been able to win games on defense alone. It has allowed the Colts to change their once great offense into stagnant two TE end offense. They have gone away from Stokely and this is the week that it will finally hurt them. This week they are going to have to be able to score and they won't be able to.

It's hard to blame the Colts for their lack of passing. From game 1 opponents were dropping 7 guys in coverage and basically telling the Colts, "Manning is not going to beat us." Wish I had drafted Edge this year.

It's a tough game to pick. The Colts can afford the loss more than the Patriots yet they need to get that monkey off their back.

This game has Patriots victory written all over it. If Manning can get this Patriots monkey off his back in primetime, people in Indy can start buying Lombardi Trophy polish now.

Only the Titans and Texans have allowed more points in the AFC than the Patriots. New England has given up 21 more points than they've scored, while Indy has scored 122 more points than given up. The Colts are 7-0, the Pats are 4-3. So, it would appear the Colts should have an easy time at New England. However, when considering the caliber of the opponents we find the fly in the ointment. The Colts have prospered off teams with a combined record of only 18 wins and 34 losses. The Pats opponents have fared better, with a total of 31 wins to only 18 losses.

The Pats are playing at home which gives them an advantage, since they've beaten the Colts there but the conditions won't be detrimental to the Colts this time of year. The Colts are a more balanced team then they were, with a much improved defense. The Pats have been stumbling badly. Everything tells me the Colts should win easily. This is a big game for Manning and the Colts to get the monkey off their backs. But the Colts are running away in their division, the Pats are barely in first place in theirs so, what do I predict? On paper the Colts should win big... but if it's close look for Tom Brady to pull out a win. All right , I admit to being a Brady fan, I'll go with the Pats! I like both QB's so I won't be disappointed either way.

This should be an awesome game!

There are so many out there to root for! Manning, Stokley, Brady, even Tim Dwight! I think I want the Colts to win though just because they have been the underdogs, but this game could really go either way.

From game 1 opponents were dropping 7 guys in coverage and basically telling the Colts, "Manning is not going to beat us."

It sure seems like this is how teams have been dealing with the Colts. At the start of the year the Colts offense was not putting up alot of good Stats and it appears that defenses have figured out a way to slow them down (take away the deep pass routes).

The Patriots like the Colts are one of the least black teams, and it's pathetic the way Stokley's role has been reduced, but I was still rooting for Peyton Manning to get another of those "monkeys off his back" that the Caste System likes to attach to him.

Manning threw some beautiful passes. Brady also was very good, throwing 3 TD's and no picks. These twoalong with Vick are the smartest QB's in the game.

How did the Pat's defense get so bad so fast? I know about the injuries but still. I want to see Peyton throw more passes to Clark and Stokley and I wish he would stop catering to Marvin, the whiny little cry baby.

I'm sorry, but I am beginning to really dislike Peyton Manning. How can
he refuse to even look Stokley's way most of the game? How can he
simply ignore his roommate and supposed good friend, especially when he
was such a great extra weapon last season? As for Dallas Clark, how can
he be catching less balls than some unknown black TE who wasn't even on
the depth chart when the season started? Stokley just has to be open
sometimes, especially now that half the season has gone by and Manning
has just ignored him. Why would defenses roll their saftey his way
instead of watching Harrison and (to a lesser degree) Wayne? With his
speed, how can any of the extra DBs or LBs be covering Clark? He has to
be open sometimes. I loved watching Indy last season, but I just can't
stomach their games now. Edgerrin James is a slow, plodding,
unproductive waste who is allowed to be the "star" running behind that
great line against defenses that mysteriously still play the Colts as
if they are using all their receivers like last season. Or course,
neither Stokley or Clark is likely to ever complain in the least about
this. Being typical white guys, they are more than happy to be the
first to congratulate the various blacks who now score all the Indy
TDs. As I'm sure they'd say if asked, "hey, the important thing is
we're winning."

You have to throw to who's on the field.

If I'm not mistaken, isn't Stokley third on the depth chart, behind Harrison and Reggie Wayne?

Harrison caught his touchdown passes in single coverage.

The Colts have too many weapons to worry about throwing to guys in double coverage because they're favorites or whiners. They're 8-0 for a reason.

I'd like to see Stokely catch more balls, too, but he is only available in 3 and 4-wide receiver sets, and when he is out there, Manning does get him the ball.

The Colts aren't bombing away like they did last year, they're playing a more balanced offensive game. You can't argue with the results. Both Edgerrin James AND Marvin Harrison both went over 100 yards, rushing and receiving. That's balance!

Don,

You sure are right about those caste "monkeys" on Manning's back. I've never seen a superstar QB nit-picked like Manning.

Monkey #1: He can't beat Florida (so we'll rob him of the Heisman)

Monkey #2: He's not mobile enough . PFFFFT. How mobile is Tom Brady?

Monkey #3: He's never won a playoff game. Ask Denver.

Monkey #4: He's never beaten the Patriots in Foxboro. Not anymore.

Monkey #5: His contract is too big, they'll never be able to win .....

Have I missed any? What will they say after he wins the Superbowl this year?

At the end of the day I think the Caste system morons hate him because
he is a big, strong, southern, wildly successful WHITE
MALE. This is the only explanation I can think of. I hope
he keeps sticking it to them. Go Peyton!

Peyton's a superb individual, as well. When he was at Tennessee,
he once bought pizzas for all the students that were camping out for
tickets to some game (I'm guessing it must have been the Florida
game). Of course, some media hack accused Tennessee of paying
their All-American, 'cause "where else would a college kid get money to
do that?"

Uh, did they forget that his dad is Archie Manning?

Nice story there Southern Knight. I too think Peyton is getting the ball toward Brandon Stokley about as much as he can when he is on the field. I saw Stokley get thrown to several times last night, and I didn't even watch that much of the game.

You guys must be watching a different game from me. I want to support
great white athletes as much as any of you, but Manning is simply
ignoring Stokley most of the time. Stokely did start out the season not
playing much at all, for some inexplicable reason (gotta have that
black TE in there that no one has ever heard of). However, for the past
several games the Colts have gone with a 3 receiver set most of
the time. Despite this, Manning gives Stokley only a handful of looks
per game, and Clark even less. I'm sorry, but it's just not believable
to me that a team like the Patriots, with their beat-up defense, can
cover an athlete like Stokley with their third-best DB. It's even less
believable that they could cover a speedy TE like Clark with whatever
is left after their top 3 DBs. I also brought up the fact that Manning
and Stokley are roommates and supposedly close friends. You mean to
tell me that if a black WR-3rd on the depth chart or not-was rooming
with the QB and had a season like Stokley had last year, that he
wouldn't be constantly complaining to the QB about being virtually
ignored this year? We all have seen how Harrison goes into an obviously
hostile mood towards Manning whenever he is not the top focus for even
a single game. Reggie Wayne physically confronted Manning on the
sidelines last year during a game. I think we can all guess what Wayne
was protesting about. I'm sure he had no problem taking a back seat to
Harrison, but Manning was paying way too much attention to Stokley at
that time, and that just can't be tolerated. When Harrison whines,
Manning reacts and forces the ball to him. After Wayne confronted
Manning last season, he reacted by going less to Stokley and forcing
the ball more to Wayne. Why hasn't Stokley confronted Manning? He
certainly has more just cause than either Harrison or Wayne ever had.
If Stokley did confront Manning, would he even care?

Anyhow, sorry to disagree about this, but just because a white athlete
seems nice, and is undeniably great, doesn't mean he can't have flaws.
Right now, Manning is just not seeing white on the field when he goes
back to pass. I just don't believe that it's because the two of them
are never open. I also think we have to blast Stokley and Clark for
their typical white guy, submissive attitudes. If whites are ever going
to make it pro sports again, they have to become a bit more selfish and
demand the "respect" that is given to every black player.

I agree with a lot of what bigunreal posted. We know that black athletes are quick to complain when they don't get what they belive is fair treatment. It could be entirely likely that the Colts staff told Manning and Stokely that his production would be sacrificed "for the good of the team."

What is Stokely going to do about it anyway? Demand to be traded to some other team which would bury him even more? Most likely he was told to be happy with his big contract and whatever slim pickings come his way. That's life in the caste system NFL

I never said the black Colts don't complain. I know they do, and I hate it as much as you guys. All I said was that in last night's game, I saw Stokley get the ball thrown towards him several times. I agree that he hasn't gotten the looks he did last year, but he hasn't been on the field as much either. Some of Peyton's passes to Brandon were off last night though. I remember two of them that I was really surprised on, when they were in New England's territory. I know Peyton has flaws, I know personally that Eli has flaws, and I know Archie has flaws, I do to.

If Peyton was to insist that Harrison, Wayne, and Mr. no name TE quit whining, do you think anyone on the coaching staff would support him throwing to them less? With Stokley buried on the depth chart, I don't see how the situation can get any better.

I didn't say that Harrison and Wayne do not complain, either.

The Colt's ran 38 pass plays, and 28 pass plays.

Wayne and Harrison each had 9 catches.
Stokley had 4.

Manning only missed on 9 of his 37 pass attempts. I know at least 2 or 3 of those were thrown to Stokley.

I'm not proficient enough at searching for stats to figure out how many 3 and 4 wide receiver sets the Colt's ran last night. Not enough, apparently, to get Stokley more catches.

I do not believe that Manning is deliberately ignoring Stokley, not at all. I think Manning passes to the guy who he sees open at a particular time, as he views the field.

If there is any reason why Stokley isn't catching more balls, its because the Caste System has deigned that he take the 3rd slot, instead of the 2nd or the 1st.

I doubt that we'll ever read about Peyton Manning taking a love cruise, failing a drug test, picking up a prostitute during the playoffs, being arrested for assault and battery, or any of many other myriad things you will read about concerning black athletes. If the only negative thing we can say about Peyton is that he doesn't throw Stokley's way enough, in a game that is dictated ruthlessly by the Caste System and its proponents, then so be it.

I'll take it.

Manning threw to Stokley six times last night, not a large number but not an insignificant one either. He looked to him mostly on third downs.

Alot of the difference between this season and last can be found in the Colts change in offensive strategy. The Colts were a pass happy team last year, including lots of down the field throws. This year they have, at least so far, a much better defense, which has resulted in them playing more of a ball control game, which was perfectly illustrated against the Patriots. Indy had long drive after long drive that ate up the clock and kept New England off the field. It's a lot more running the ball with James, combined with more short and medium passes. Other than the bomb Manning threw to Harrison on the first series, there were no long passes. I don't think it's deliberate game planning to deprive Stokley of catches, it's just that as the third receiver,he's the one whose production has dropped most noticeably (but Harrison's and Wayne's has as well).

I don't like seeing Stokley's production drop so much, but the Colts are 8-0so it's hard to argue with the way Manning is managing games. If their defensestarts givingup more points Manning will throw more, and Stokley willget some of it. I don't thinkManning would deliberately ignore Stokley.

Hey the season is only at the half-way point and it seems pretty sure that the Colts are going to be in the playoffs so there is still a chance that maybe Stokley may make a big contribution in the playoffs. If he gets thrown to less in the playoffs then I will start to get seriously upset (it is hard to be upset after the awesome recording setting Season the Colts had last year)

I have to admit that I don't root for teams in any sport any more. I
haven't done that for a long time. Last year, though, the Colts started
drawing my interest. This was primarily due to the fact that they
actually had a couple of white receivers that were real participants in
a very exciting offense (not to mention a great white QB leading it).
My point about Manning is not that he isn't a nice guy; like his dad
and brother, he certainly seems to be. Obviously, he is light years
ahead of just about any black athlete I can think of in terms of common
decency. However, like Brett Favre and the other handful of white stars
in the NFL, he doesn't do anything to help other white players beat the
Caste System he was fortunate enough to avoid. Brett Favre was Bill
Schroeder's biggest critic when he was a WR with Green Bay. He could
have issued public words of praise for Schroeder, when he was taking
all that unfair heat from fans, media and coaching staff. Instead, he
publicly reacted in disgust to every drop Schroeder made or every
alleged wrong pattern he ran. Favre also never did anything to help
Travis Jervey. While Manning is hardly in Favre's category, imho, as a
die-hard supporter of the Caste System, he still obviously doesn't
treat Stokley or Clark the way he would treat blacks that played the
same role on the team. Peyton isn't stupid; he supposedly was the one
who recommended that the Colts sign Stokley. He certainly must
recognize that he is a better playmaker than Harrison at this point in
his career, and just as good if not better than Wayne. Why no public
statements to the effect of: "Brandon is a great WR, and we're really
lucky to have him. He should be a #1 guy on some team. That's how I
think of him, as a #1 guy. I think we have three #1 guys." He
also would have lobbied the coaching staff to keep Stokley on the field
more often when they were using those 2-TE sets almost exclusively
early in the season. Since Manning has great control over the offense
and calls a lot of audibles, he should have been forcing the ball to
Stokley many times over the course of this season, even if Stokely
never complained (which, as a typical white player, I'm sure is the
case). I have watched all the Colts games the past few seasons (Sunday
Ticket), and Stokley is open on almost every play. Manning decides
prior to the snap where he's going to go, and just looks that way. He
splits those looks fairly evenly between Harrison and Wayne. They no
longer have to complain to him; he instinctively knows he must keep
them happy. Why doesn't he have any desire to keep Stokley or Clark
happy? He just doesn't look for Stokley that often, especially
when he has to know the defense isn't expecting it and he is able to
beat just about any defender teams throw at him. As for Dallas Clark,
this guy had to play behind an older and much slower player last
season, simply because that guy was black. No right-thinking coach
would start Marcus Pollard over Clark, and Manning should have
protested that. He can't be stupid enough to not notice the difference
between them in speed alone. Now that Pollard is gone, Clark should be
shining. Instead, he is truly the forgotten man in the offense. The
ridiculous black TE they found somewhere and somehow promoted over the
other two young TEs on the roster often gets as many or more looks per
game than Clark. That's a joke; Clark has elite talent and should be an
intregal part of this offense.

This is a great discussion. It's nice to hear other viewpoints, but
please consider how Donovan McNabb's dad reacted to T.O.'s criticism of
his son. The elder McNabb said he considered T.O.'s rather tame
comments to be nothing less than "black on black crime." While this is
typical modern-day racist exaggeration to the ultimate degree, it
represents the kind of tribal mindset that more and more blacks
subscribe to in Don King's America. I just think that it would be nice
if one of the few white superstars in the sport would exhibit a
microcosm of that racial defensiveness for his roommate and good
friend.

Once again I completely agree with bigunreal. Manning should FORCE the ball to his friend and roomate or at least lobby for him to be the No 1 or 2 guy.

Yeah it's great that the Colts are winning, YIPPEE another castefriendly NFL powerhouse. I would prefer that they were 0-8 with Stokely leading the league in receptions then 8-0 with Stokely off of the radar.

Do you think Manning should call a press conference and announce that he thinks "Brandon is a great WR, and we're really lucky to have him. He should be a #1 guy on some team. That's how I think of him, as a #1 guy. I think we have three #1 guys." If he isn't asked the question, he can't answer it. To make such a public statement out of the blue would go over like a lead balloon. People would speculate about him and the team, dissension among the ranks, and what would his reasoning be? "I want to throw to Stokely because he is my friend. I want to throw to him because he is white. I want to throw to him because he deserves more catches?" GET REAL.

How do you know that Manning HAS NOT privately lobbied Tony Dungy to get Stokely on the field more, or to throw the ball more in 3-4 wide receiver sets? And just what do you suppose Dungy's response will be? THE COLTS ARE 8-0. They don't give a rats ass about Stokely or Clark or anybody else getting a specific number of catches. They're winning games, they have a great formula right now and thats it. End of story.

The "problem" is that the Colts have too many good players. There are only so many offensive plays to go around, and with Edgerrin James and Marvin Harrison getting the bulk of the balls, there is only so much left to go around.

You guys are asking a lot of Manning, when his team is 8-0, has just beat the 'unbeatable,' New England Patriots, and are the favorites to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.

Yeah all great for the Colts, nothing for me.

The Colts are classic caste-system football, white QB, black receivers, black running back, a couple of white o-lineman, mostly black defense and one 3rd string white wide receiver. No I don't expect Manning to do anything, I never expect any white athlete to ever do ANYTHING pro-white, that's the problem! How about something different for a change. What is the worst that could happen to Manning? He is rich and succesful, a team would play him even if he had a swastica tatooed on his forehead (well maybe not that) but he would lose nothing. Will he do it--OF COURSE NOT and that is why white people are screwed!

Do black athletes risk their career by taking strong racial positions? You bet your ass! Why can't one of ours do the same?????
