Didn't know where to put this info, but looks like black offensive lineman Scott Haughton, a starter for the Cyclones the last two years, has been kicked off the team. Number two on the depth chart is white.

The best place would have been the 2009 Iowa State thread, since nobody has previewed the '10 squad yet. Oh well. I'll take good news any way I can get it.

Here are the projected white starters for the Cyclones this year. After having 14 in 05, 12 in 06, 10 in 07, down to just 8 in 08, and 9 last year, the Cyclones hopefully will be back into double digits. Also, a few of the younger players are white, so it looks like Iowa State is back in the right direction. One of the few teams that actually whiten up quickly after they've gone black. Top white backups who should get some playing time this year are RB Beau Blankenship, WR Josh Lenz, LBs Kevin Hamlin, Preston Kaufman, and Jacob Lattimer, and SS Zac Sandvig.

Offense
WR- Jake Williams
TE- Collin Franklin
LG- Alex Alvarez
C- Ben Lamaak
RG- Drew Davis
RT- Brayden Burris

Defense
DE- Patrick Neal
DT- Jake McDonough
LB- A.J. Klein
LB- Jake Knott
FS- Michael O'Connell

Whats the deal with Iowa State's infatuation with black quarterbacks?

Great question, and one that we could ask of several D1 programs. I'm sure it has something to do with caste system indoctrinated coaches believing media driven hype about these "spark plug" "cannon armed" black players and then recruiting them to meet their lust like "need" for blacks.

Concerning the quota back situation, at least the current black quarterback is actually from Iowa. What is extra infuriating for me is when programs like Iowa St, or Oregon or someplace with a mostly white population reach out to the deep south for the obligatory athlete who of course is rarely white.
Concerning the Cyclone's white resurgence, virtually all of their white starters are from Iowa. Just goes to show how important it is for these programs in mostly white states to recruit their own areas first. How many of these white players would have even got a scholarship offer from another D1 school had it not been for their Cyclone offer?

black quarterback - Arnaud - threw 3 more picks against Iowa. He is perpetually atrocious.

I know that Iowa (LB) Tyler Nielsen got one of those picks. Brett Greenwood got one also!

Better than ISU, but isn't Frank Solich calling the shot at Ohio?

A very rare case (compared to those of diversities) of White players getting into trouble.

http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefoo...yclones-players-indefinitely-suspended-030511

Two Iowa State football players have been suspended from the team after being arrested.

Athletic department spokesman Tom Kroeschell says the suspensions of defensive end Jacob Lattimer and tight end Ricky Howard are indefinite.

The 22-year-old Lattimer faces charges of assault on a peace officer
and interference with official acts, while the 20-year-old Howard is
suspected of operating while intoxicated.

The juniors were arrested Friday and held overnight at the Story County jail. They were released Saturday.

No phone numbers for the players could be found.

Lattimer played in all 12 games for Iowa State last season. Howard did not play.

Iowa State suspends Duran Hollis

http://eye-on-collegefootball.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/24156338/30097934

Hollis did not play in 2010, and while there's no word on when or if he'll be reinstated, it isn't clear how much playing time he's going to receive in 2011. Iowa State's leading rusher in 2010, Alexander Robinson, has left, but the Cyclones had a couple of other young backs behind him in Shontrelle Johnson and Jeff Woody.

That duo combined for 409 yards and three touchdowns on 82 carries last season.

Will Woody have an expanded role this season?

Woody is their big back and is expected to split carries with one of the supa atholetic brotha's. However if you line them all up, and let the best man win the postion Woody should be the starter on opening day.
