F3dor just some advice for future reference. We already have a Carl Froch thread. Next time go into the boxing forum and do a search for Carl Froch. You can also scroll down the page as it will usually either be on the first or second page. In regards to Froch I didn't like him at first but he has earned my respect because of his toughness in the ring. I can't say I like him but I respect him.

F3dor, Calzaghe was my hero for years (my picture is Calzaghe dominating Lacy) even though he's Welsh and I'm English. However despite Froch's lack of respect for Calzaghe, I currently regard Froch my favourite boxer along with Kevin Mitchell and Kelly Pavlik. Nathan Cleverly not so far behind. Froch is a good person and I love his UK street style of fighting. Hard as nails, you got that right!

I have lost some respect for Calzaghe due to his drug abuse. He admitted that he has used cocaine since his retirement.

But that aside yu are right, he should not have done that...

A lot of these stupid boxing writers are giving Calzaghe crap about retiring and not facing Andre Ward and Andre Dirrell. Now Calzaghe had one of the fastest hands in boxing and would destroy either of these two. Yet these writers claim it would be the opposite. One of these clowns name is Scott Gilfoid. He could possibly be the worst boxing writer in the world. Here is a link to his articles. He seems to be infatuated with Andre Dirrell to the point that I feel they may be lovers.http://www.boxingnews24.com/a/boxing/joe-calzaghe/

I hope this guy doesn't get paid for writing this crap. He seems to delete any negative comments that are posted about him as well.

Tonight Pascal the lineal light heavyweight champ takes on Bopkins. I post this here because Frochy beat Pascal in a real war almost two years ago. I am hoping that Pascal finally rids us of Bopkins continued career tonight. I pray for Bopkins taking on the role of P Williams falling like a tree in the fight.

I don't know who to root for in this fight. Pascal is hyped up as the next "Black Dope", yet Popkins has lost to Calzaghe.

Well, Bopkins was able to get a draw. Haven't seen the fight, but most are saying he deserved the win, even though he was knock down two times.

I realize that Bopkins is a great fighter and future HOFer, but I still dislike him intensely. If he was not a A hole or racists he could have been a big crossover star, much like George Foreman, but he swallowed the democratic mantra big time. 'Your lot in life(his years in prison) is some one else's fault, most likely whitey' BS'.

I am so glad that Joe Calzaghe beat him several years ago, especially when he tried to intimadate him with his ghetto fabulous nonsense and racial slurs. F Bhop and the horse he rode in on.

I didn't see the fight either, Westside. I kind of wanted Popkins to win because Pascal is another black hype job and Popkins is on his way out. We have to give Carl Froch credit for beating Pascal. Pascal is no pushover, that's for sure.

WA 33 I will try to catch on the HBO replay on Tuesday. I hope Kelly Pavlik can overcome his alcohol addiction. I remember at the time I said Kelly should not fight Bopkins. It was a lose, lose fight. If he won, oh, big deal, you beat an old man. If he lost, wow, you are not really good. He just got schooled by a old man. He should never have fought Bopkins. He will be linked with that loss forever, and if he doesn't turn it around. That fight will mark the beginning of a once bright career. Even though he was sick as a dog, according to Dan Rafael of ESPN Boxing.

Westside, that wasn't the same Pavlik we all know. When he fought Taylor you could just tell he had it. He was hungry and dedicated. When he fought Popkins I saw a beaten man even before the fight started. I think his alcoholism was already screwing with his skills. He probably didn't train enough for the fight. No doubt in my mind that if it was the same Pavlik that fought Taylor he would have schooled Popkins.

Just finished watching the replay of Bopkins v Pascal. I scored it a draw. Contrary to alot of DWF affelet loving fans the fight was properly scored a draw. It was very close. To Bopkins credit, it was a great performance for a 45 year old. Pascal however, is weak mentally. He doesn't have the mental toughness, when he was challenged. He lacks any kind of boxing IQ, and relies totally on wild shots.
