im not sure if any of you guys can see this so lemme pull out the one post that lit up a rams forum
is it some of you want to give Carriker more time after two years even though he has done nothing on the field to prove he is a worthy starting DT? Yet you all were ready to run Jimmy Kennedy out of town after one season of being a full time starter?
I know there are a lot of Cornhusker fans out there and the Rams are in the middle of Big XII country.
But I think race plays a factor in some of your reasons just like it did with Brian Leonard. If Brian Leonard wasn't white, I think most of you who backed the pick would of been like the majority of us that hated the pick. But there is something about the "Hard working white guy with a high motor" that some of you relate to. That was the way you were in high school and thus you can relate to him.
Well I think a lot of you that are wanting to give Carriker more time, whether you want to admit or not, are subconsiously using race as a factor into your lienency. He, just like Jimmy Kennedy, has done nothing in two years of being a starter. But like I stated, everyone wanted to run Kennedy out after one year of full time starting in 2006. Everyone labeled him a bust even though he only was a rotation guy in 2004 and 2005. The funny thing is Kennedy and Carriker were both drafted in basically the same spot (Kennedy #12, Carriker #13).
Not trying the stir the pot. But I am just sayin.....
