Tomorrow night will feature Lomachenko, the Best Pound for Pound fighter in the world. His opponent is Lopez. A dangerous, yet raw fighter compared to the great Lomachenko's boxing skills. I see this fight going two ways.

Loma outboxing him for a UD while being careful not to get caught by Lopez's real power.

Or, Loma breaking him down with a late-round TKO with the Lopez's corner stopping the fight.

One of the marquee fights to close out a truly historic 2020.

I hate saying this but I have to give ESPN credit for showing this on regular ESPN instead of ESPN+.

Can’t wait for this fight. Loma should dominate but needs to be careful of Lopez’ raw power. Lopez is the naturally bigger man, but his skills are lesser than Loma’s.

Prediction: Loma UD

For some reason when I think about this fight, I think about Arguello vs Mancini. Mancini was raw and strong but no contest for the outstanding Arguello's boxing IQ and power. Arguello in 1980, I believe KO'd a game, a Mancini. I believe this will happen tomorrow night.

Just saw the weight in. Loma jumped in the face of Lopez. His eyes were of steel resolve. Never seen him so intense for a fight. Should be an epic fight.

Good stuff from Loma! Lopez was talking about how he was in Lomachenko's head and that he had him shook lol. Apparently not. Loma is 4 to 1 betting favorite .

Glad you posted this Booth. I was being lazy and assumed the fight was PPV. I was planning on heading to the mountains Saturday but this takes precedence. Our good friends at ESPN are doing some great work with this fight.

I watched the weigh-in and I saw apprehension on Lopez's face. Lots of it. His dad's big mouth has written a check Lopez most likely can't cash. But Lopez does have talent and a big punch. Loma will have to be very sharp.

As they say, too much too soon for Lopez.

LOL. I just texted a friend on Lopez not likely to cash the check on the trash his father is yapping about.

I thought Lopez was much larger than Loma but eye to eye they were roughly the same height.

Yep Lopez's dad seems to be similar to Danny Garcia's pops, they both are auditioning for Drexel in the True Romance remake....

PS this fight should be exciting while it lasts...

PS 2 this is the wiggery scene note both scenes are R rated with graphic language and content.

Another poster stated Pops Lopez is a di$#head, he's that plus a pugnacious Brooklynite. Guys like him are a dying breed due to the gentrification of Brooklyn.

Interesting style contrast between the two father/managers. Loma's dad intellectual and analytical with a technique oriented approach to the sport. No bravado, just cool confidence backed up by a lot of hard work. Keep the emotions in check and always be thinking. Loma's dad just exudes a quiet efficiency.

Lopez's dad is a different story. He's just a loudmouthed dickhead.

This fight could be epic. Lopez is as deadly as they come with his power punches. This is a very dangerous fight but that's why I love Lomachenko so much. He is the most gifted fighter in the world and he fears no one. This one could go the
distance but I'm rooting for a knock out win to continue to cement Lomachenkos name as one of the greatest boxers of all time! :)

If Loma wins, he will be the undisputed Lightweight Champion in Boxing and clearly the PFP fighter right now. Hey, is Don on this thread??

Loma's output is very low, he is landing cleaner but this is not looking good, is he still "analzying" him? He is going to have to step up.

The fight could be 7 to 3 or 6 to 4 Lopez, Loma needs to sweep the last two to get a draw in my opinion.

Lopez looked like he won the 12th so he could have shaded this 7 to 5 in rounds, but Bradley had it even entering the 11th so a draw could be on the way too.

I scored it a draw. Loma should have stepped on the gas earlier.

Too little... Too late...

Bad look for Loma, I don't know what was wrong tonight, much too shy, in my estimation it was that he was scared of Lopez's power.
