I caught the tail end of Kownackis KO! Just turned on the fight and not ten seconds later did he drop his opponent! I like seeing his natural body type steam roll through more "affletic" builds.

I happened to catch the whole fight by accident at the gym. The first impression I got was that this poor blob didn't stand a chance against his opponent some ripped black guy.

He took the guy apart. This guy throws a lot of punches and he was accurate too. He took some shots also but easily shrugged them off. His opponent was knocked silly.

I remember old George Foreman was a soft blob too but he managed to clear out the heavyweight division.
Will be interesting to see how he does against tougher competition.

Kownacki looks like the kind of friendly fat guy who clowns around at parties and is a good sport about jokes and everything, but if you step to him he's going to embarrass you and take your girl lol

Decent fight.

Gotta wonder about brain damage for both down the line.

Kownacki proved he's probably in line to be the next Chris Arreola.

This fight was weird to watch, there were lulls and then combos flying, but Adam's punches moved Cris, while Cris's punches for the most part seemed to bounce of of the man mountain who's billed from Brooklyn.

Back close to 25 years ago I saw Ibeabuchi vs Tua and I swear that seemed to have a significantly higher punch count, maybe because these shots were largely tighter it seemed like their was less action.

I still would read the riot act to Kownacki about his diet when he's not in camp as the extra flab must hurt his footwork, I saw openings that if he stepped quickly around Cris he might have been able to land a combination that he didn't see and take him out.

I hope that Adam's team don't feed him a bunch of stiffs while he waits out what's happening with top 4 of the division, as who knows what Kownacki will enter the ring at if he isn't motivated to be in the best shape possible.

First time I've seen Kownacki. Arreola has always had a great chin and a concrete head. I am glad Adam was able to win against a tough opponent like Arreola, and he won by a wide margin even though it was the first time he went 12 rounds. He really puts combos together well and goes to the body alot and is not just a headhunter. He should work on his defense so he doesn't take so many head shots. He is flabby and it would help him to work on his diet. It would be interesting to see how it would affect his performance if he were to lose weight and get fit. Fatigue didn't seem to be too much of a problem for him. I hope he gets a title shot soon. It would be interesting to see how he'd do against Wilder or Ruiz. Ruiz is built just like Kownacki.

I was very disappointed in the way Kownacki look and performed. He was talking to much about knocking out Arreola before the fight and I think this was one reason for his poor performance. Lets be honest any of the top heavyweights Wilder, Fury, Joyce, and Dubois would have beaten Kownacki the way he looked last night. I know he is a better boxer than what he showed last night.

Not getting why he can not be in better shape? Don't want to hear that is just his "body type." Arreola was super flabby his prior fights. But in his last likely fight, he was in shape. Kownacki needs to hire a strength and condition coach.

There were spots in the fight where Kownacki seemed to be remembering techniques he'd been learnling like stepping to the side and getting angles. But then he'd revert to just walking in and slugging. But at least it shows he's working on improving. Curious to see who they put him in with next.

Would love to see him fight at 240lbs and keep his chin tuck and roll his shoulders more.

Interesting heavyweight fight coming up on Showtime this coming Saturday, it's a "must win" for Adam Kownacki.

It appears to be a 50-50 matchup.

It's certainly an interesting fight, Charles Martel. I agree with you it is a 50-50 fight. I think the Turk is on the rise he has fought better competition in his last few fights. It should be a good heavyweight fight.

Helluva likeable guy. Comes across as a man with no guile. And an unlikely world class fighter.

He snuck up on some people but unfortunately I think he's on the downhill side of his career.

But I'll be rooting for him.

The Turk is slight favorite in my mind. He's coming off of a decent win over Gerald Washington and he showed stamina and late power. With Adam his weight and defense will be the key for winning this fight. Against Helenius he seemed out of his element when he was staggered and stopped in the first fight and if his eye socket was broken in the rematch it would make sense on why he couldn't gauge distance in the rematch. This is probably a do or die fight if he doesn't want to go down to a PBC B side in cross roads bouts on the various PBC media outlets.
