Much the NFL Preseason, White players who excel in the Summer League are not necessarily rewarded. Nevertheless, I like to see how the White players perform.

Cavs 1st round (26th) pick Dylan Windler looked great, scoring 19 on 8/14 shooting in 30 minutes in his first game (vs Spurs).

Jimmer Fredette is on Golden State’s Summer League roster. I’ve never heard of a 30 year old playing Summer League. Obviously he will do anything for an opportunity to play in the NBA. He’s been royally screwed, but I admire his perseverance.

I saw the Windler highlights and he chucked one in from nearly half court. Perhaps the real sleeper in this draft. Also Luke Samanic had a couple of nifty dunks in his solid performance. Both of these players were in my estimation the best white athletes in this draft.

I did watch the Tyler Herro/Duncan Robinson back court duo help destroy the Lakers. Herro was 5-10 from three and Robinson was even more efficient. Robinson has added stuff to his game. Add Goran Dragic and all of a sudden the Heat are a team to follow. Herro is just plain impressive. He knows what he is doing and has it as they call it. He could become an NBA star.

Anybody remember Roscoe Allen from college. A highly ranked high school star who sort of fell through the cracks but he was playing some major minutes.

Kyle Guy scored 10 points in his Kings debut but I only caught the first few minutes because it was a late game.

Bucks have Jock Landale, Matt Farrell, Luke Maye, TJ Cline, and Fletcher Magee on their Summer League Roster. Along with Donte D .

Guard Matt Thomas was signed to a 3 year deal for very modest money by the Raptors. Thomas went undrafted last year out of Iowa State but had a strong enough showing in Europe to get a deal. Nice surprise.

Along with Svi of the Pistons, Kyle Guy of the Kings had a terrific game last night versus China. 21 points on 6-11 shooting.

I still think one more year in college would have helped his draft status but he is proving to me and I hope others there is a place for him in the NBA. A better athlete than advertised without him Virginia doesn't come near to winning a national championship.

Both Svi and Guy belong in an NBA rotation. Will find out this season if they get their chance to shine?

Tyler Herro of Miami is already showing signs of becoming a star.

30 Pts & 8 Rebs from the 6ft 7 rookie, Ignas Brazdeikis (Knicks).

During the post game interview, Brazdeikis stated
“Every time I step on the floor, I feel I’m the best player. My confidence never wavers. I’m always aggressive. I always make plays. It doesn’t matter what stage I’m on.”

Along with Tyler Herro, it’s good to see young white athletes display tremendous confidence.

Here are the highlights from Brazdeikis 30 Pts performance:

I love seeing this kids confidence. He showed it at Michigan and continues to amaze people with his talent. Great to see and the Knicks need alot of help. Brazdeikis could become
a star in the Big Apple if they allow him to. Let's hope the Knicks know what they have and make him a starter from day 1!

In other news Tyler Hero continues to dominate in the summer league. He had 25 pts to lead the Heat in scoring again. I'm shocked at how easy the game comes to him at such a young
age. I have no doubt that Hero will be a future all star in the coming years!

Exciting times in the NBA as we are seeing more white guys that have the one on one skills and the talent to become stars. The NFL needs more of this. The NBA still has a long ways to go
but it's getting similar to the 90's as far as there is alot of white talent all around the league. Please let this continue for our guys!

I agree W/L..... I will also point out that local Miami fans (I’ll call them DWLFs for Drunk White Latino Fans lol) are really behind this kid and they are pushing back on the idea that we may lose him in a trade package for Westbrook.

Anyhow, here are the highlights from today’s performance:

If Westbrick does go to the Heat it would probably be better for Herro to be packaged to the rebuilding Thunder, he'd probably be a featured player there

This kid could be a star if only Philly would believe in him. He scored 40 pts like it was a walk in the park. Furkan Korkmaz has star potential.
