The WR Dan Arnold from Wis - Platteville 2 or 3 years ago is still with the Saints. It looks like TE is now his position.

Arnold up: Tight end Dan Arnold keeps making flash plays. The tight end had a diving catch in the end zone for a touchdown, as well as a second score. He has inserted himself into the conversation at tight end, a position where the battle for spots has suddenly started to heat up. It might come down to what some of these guys are capable of doing on special teams.

UPDATE: Rookie WR Dylan Cantrell Is Out Indefinitely

As Jamie Hoyle mentioned yesterday, rookie wide receiver Dylan Cantrell injured his knee during a Los Angeles Chargers Training Camp practice. At the time, we had no indication of what kind of time he would miss, but ESPN’s Eric Williams reported via Twitter this morning that he will be out indefinitely:

Chargers WR Dylan Cantrell has a knee injury and is out indefinitely.

1:17 PM - Aug 4, 2018

This is still not a real timeline, but it is also not good news for the rookie receiver who had been by some accounts the MVP of Chargers camp. There is a lot of competition at receiver behind Keenan Allen on the depth chart and missing time is not going to help the Texas Tech product in making his case for being part of the 53-man roster come the end of NFL preseason. Hopefully, he will be back soon and will pick up where he left off because Dylan Cantrell was certainly an early bright spot and as a Chargers fan you have to hope he beats out the likes of Artavis Scottand Geremy Davis.

I read that Cantrell was able to jog off under his own power - hopefully it's something minor like a sprain rather than a dreaded ACL injury.

The Bronco's first Depth Chart, released today:

Offense:
QB Keenum, 4/5 OL, 2 TE (Heuerman, Butt), FB Janovich on 1st team. WR River Cracraft on 3rd team in one of the WR positions.

Defense:
DE Wolfe and DE Gotsis on 1st team. Jewell 2nd team behind Brandon Marshall.

Saturday night's game against the Vikings should be a good one to watch.

Daniel Sorensen is out with a knee injury - however it is not an acl so he should return during the season. According to weenieworld Sorensen was not effective as a starter last year which is of course not true.

Daniel Sorensen - DB - Chiefs
Chiefs FS Daniel Sorensen is out indefinitely with a knee injury.

It's not a season-ender — the team initially feared a torn ACL — but Sorensen could be sidelined into the "early part of the regular season." Sorensen was not effective as a first-time starter last season, but the Chiefs' wafer-thin defense can ill afford any losses. Second-year pro Leon McQuay is probably the next man up opposite Eric Berry

Dylan Cantrell avoided a torn ACL but does have a bone bruise:

No matter how well Kumerow plays the Packers will probably bury him on the depth chart when the season starts. Or he'll join the legion of white men who get cut right before the season starts only to have their roster spots taken by inferior black players.

Exactly. Since the Pack won their SB in 2011 it seems they have been blackmailed into not having too many quality Whites. What they did to Janis was thievery to his career.

  • Cooper Kupp was more or less unstoppable in Tuesday's practice. The second-year receiver was a go-to guy for Goff and the chemistry was obvious in the 11-on-11 unscripted portion. The Ravens tried lining up slot corners and regular corners and even hybrid linebackers on him but to no avail. In general, he was a matchup problem and with Robert Woods and Brandin Cooks on the outside, and the Rams hopeful for a breakthrough season for tight end Tyler Higbee, Kupp remains in line for a bevy of targets. Goff and he have something special going on.

Chad Hansen continues to get a lot of favorable coverage. From an article projecting the Jets' 53 man roster to open the season:

WIDE RECEIVER: Robby Anderson, Quincy Enunwa, Jermaine Kearse, Terrelle Pryor, Chad Hansen, Andre Roberts

Anderson is an obvious lock, and I think Enunwa and Kearse are as well. If the team believes Pryor is healthy, then it would take a lot of proving for someone to overcome the upside Pryor showed in Cleveland in 2016 and kick him off of the Week 1 roster. The Jets did also guarantee Pryor $2 million.

I think Hansen makes the roster and challenges for a starting spot as the season goes on. His buzz has been unusually strong all offseason, and I liked what he showed in his limited time last year. He has the potential to be a big-bodied intermediate threat on the outside. This is projection based on little production in the NFL, but hey! Surprises happen every year, and Hansen is my dark horse.

We have week one starting any minute here. Where is everyone at? I'm guessing work. Lol.

I'm about to watch some of the Buffalo vs Carolina Game. Anxious to see Peteman and Josh Allen at
quarterback. Hope C.M. gets a few touch's.

Been watching all night.
Glad CM had a rushing TD, but his YPC is less than 3.
He needs 15+ carries a game once the season starts.
Rex didn’t start. Nor did Brady... Gillisee got the first round of carries....
Rex will be the starter.
Waiting to see if Nall gets more than garbage time carries.....
Can Zenner shine?
Any Nick Holley carries this week?
Dalton Crossan?????

Let’s go running backs!

Nice. He’s the Bears leading rusher and Adam Sheenen is their leading receiver. Adam has got some jets for a TE.

On the Bengals side, Clayton Fejedelem had a 49 yard run on a fake punt. Also a super fast White man.

In the Saints game, QB Taysom Hill appears to have put on a show. 8 for 9 passing for 72 yards and 7 carries for 52 yards and a touchdown. The Saints would be smart to groom him as Drew Brees’ predecessor.
