great result for Ramil - he's been off that plateau for the last 18 months and looking forward again after a promising junior career. Sub 10 soon.
Good to see south african Erasmus do a sea level 10.13 too to rival his recent 10.08A PB. He's taller than both Lemaitre and Guliyev and very strongly built.
Kilty - OK for now but needs to up the ante in the next few weeks. Doesn't appear to have the sheer top speed of the best guys.
And hasn't Guliyev's start improved? It's not text book but it's so much improved over two years.
Young Finnish guy snuck in 10.33 PB too

Great job Elvis. When was the last time you say 3 white guys all with sub 10.1 100 times in the same race? I still am high on South African Erasmus. The kid is only 22 and also 6'4". He needs better form and to stop running so upright.

His pb is 10.08 masterM. It was in a 2.0 tailwind but also it was raining on a slow track. This kid could be the next Lemaitre. Is it me or does Guliyev look like he is in his late 30's and not 27?

Erasmus has some serious upper shoulder muskles, big traps and biceps. This kid has serious serious potential. 1 stride faster and Guliyev goes sub 10

Even better mate...... at his terminal velocity of around 11+ m/sec that's about 9" (or 225mm). Less than a quarter inch increase per stride to see a 9.99.
With several electronic runs coming up in this competition year it's hard to see him NOT go sub 10, barring injury and atrocious conditions

What a race. Guliyev is in the form of his life. So exciting to see him taking the torch from Lemaitre as the best white sprinter in the world. I want Lemaitre to return to form and I'm hoping he will but Guliyev is on fire! He has been through so much. He deserves some success and happiness.

That is the first time I've seen Erasmus race. Man is he a giant. What impressed me the most about him was his start. Despite being 6'4 he blew out of the blocks leading most of the sprinters. Even Kilty who is a world class starter. This kid is the real deal. He just needs more experience and fine tuning.

This is by far the best I've ever seen white sprinting since the good old days. In fact it might be better. Let's hope this
trend continues. Love to see the Finnish teenager out there looking very nice too. He belongs. Great experience. This is what all of the young guys we follow need. Race experience to calm the nerves in the future when they make more of an impact!

Dude just turned 17. Who knew Finland could produce such young talent? He is no flash in the pan as he ran a wind legal 10.38 earlier in the meet and has a 10.42 into a -1.4 wind. Turn that wind around and this kid is already running high 10.2. I hope his English is good as he is better off at a US college with warm weather year round as we all know Finland for half the year is pure ice. If he gets the right college and coach who knows what could happen?

Karten Warholm(great last name) won the 400m hurdles in 48.25 PB and NR in cold weather in Oslo. He beat Kerron Clement who choked under pressure from Warholm. Good to see another White sprinter emerging. He looks like he is a baby faced 16 y old lol and is only 21. Well done!

3 really slow negro men came 1-2-3 in the "women's" 800m. This freak show will never end....They cant compete as men cuz they are too slow so they compete in women's races where they know they can win....

Karsten Warholm is a very impressive athlete. He made it all the way to the Olympic semifinalsi n the 400mh last year. I remember hearing about him when he was only a 17 year old decathlete who was running somewhere near 10.5 in the 100 at the time. He seems to have left the multi-events behind for the time being.

I wonder if we are going to see John Teeters run this season?
Also wondering if Bruno Hortelano of Spain will run this season. I think he has recovered from his hand injury.

A few notes:
1. Julian Reuss ran 9.99 in Stockholm. Unfortunately, it wasn't wind legal.
2. Karsten Warholm won again in Stockholm. That's two consecutive diamond league wins for him, which is unreal.
3. I can't believe no one is talking about Jakob Ingebrigtsen. He's the young bro of Henrik and Filip, two mid-distance stars in their own right, and, at the age of 16, he is eclipsing both of them. First, at Prefontaine, he became the youngest person ever to run below 4 in the mile, and he didn't just barely make it. He crushed a 3:58. Then last week he ran a special under-20 version of the storied Oslo Dream Mile. With no one to push him on the last lap, he sprinted to a spectacular 3:56--and the dude is still just 16. Yesterday, in Stockholm, he ran against the professionals in the 1500 and clicked off a 3:39, which is roughly a 3:56 equivalent mile again. So he is proving his times aren't a fluke. He just keeps duplicating them while he awaits the arrival of his seventeenth birthday. In the entire history of track and field there has never been a phenom like him on the men's side.

The only downfall for him to be running against men and pro athletes at 16 shows there is no one else to push him at his age level in his country and in Europe....I feel bad for the other kids his age.....I hope he does not burn out like Jordan Hasay did....

Warholm is a beast and most definitely has the fire in is belly to never give an inch....he just keeps getting better...in the video of his Stockholm race there is a closeup of he and Jack Green going stride for stride full out on the backstretch that is awesome....

Erasmus ran a 10.12 (0.9) today in Slovenia

Who was the tall american sprinter about 6 to 10 years ago who was really tall and very fast. He had a youtube
chanel? I think his name was Dallas and hew was like 6'5 but had to work and do school with no support and without the proper coaching. This Erasmus kid reminds me of him only maybe slighly more muscular.

To run the times he is running without a world class coach and little experience in a very poor country is phenomenal. I can't say enough about his tremendous potential. This guy is s budding superstar. I'm becoming one of his biggest fans. He is beating all the odds. Especially in South Africa. We all know what is going on there. The kid is amazing. I just hope they don't burn him out by overracing him similar to Mornel Nagel back in the day. Naglenever evrn ran 10.12 outside of africa despite running mulitple 6.48'a in the 60.

Erasmus has the start and the finish to get to that elite level. What a great season so far. Keep it up brother!

White Lightning, I think you're referring to Dallas Robinson. We had a pretty good thread going on him at one time: http://www.castefootball.us/index.php?threads/dallas-robinson.6727/

I didn't browse through it, but I think he even posted on CF a few times, either on that thread or others in the Track forum.

Edit: Posts #43 and 45 in the thread are by Dallas.

John Teeters is a scratch from the USATF outdoor championships this week in Sacramento.

However, I do believe he is still signed on to compete in the summer tracktown series in Eugene so we still should get to see him run later this year.

I think he is probably receiving good coaching. There are many poor there but still many well-to-do, particularly whites but often mixed race too (my soon-to-be son in law hails from there). Erasmus ran quite well indoors this year too.
But wow, five south africans this year under 10.10 could see the U.S and Jamaicans challenged in the 4 x 1

Hannah Cunliffe is competing the US World Championship team trials today, she will be contesting the 100m, she was accepted to compete in the 200m but did not get selected to compete. Here's hoping her hamstring holds up and she makes the team :)

She and Jenna Prandini appear to be the only white girls competing in the 100m and 200m
