2016 NFL PLAYOFFS THREAD

Looks like the Redskins hot streak is over. The Packers have found an offensive rhythm. Barring any craziness it should be AZ vs GB and CAR vs SEA in the Nfc.

It does sound like the Redskins will be keeping Cousins around long term and giving the gremlin the boot at least.

Good to see Abbrederis get a few catches including the 2-point conversion. Matthews also has a few sacks. Good to see The Pack coming back to life and using their crackers a bit.

Hopefully they remember who to play next week. Arizona crushed Green Bay a few weeks ago.

I was thinking about 88 year old Bud Grant going out for the coin toss in Minnesota with the temperature hovering around zero, in short sleeves no less. I have nothing insightful to say about it. I was just thinking about it. :smiley:

None of the home teams won this weekend? So much for playing for the home field advantage. I guess that means all of the wild card teams won.

That was good to see. The Packers need Abbrederis and Janis to step it up when called on. Aaron Rogers played alot better today. Good to see him smiling again. I also liked seeing John Kuhn get a few catches and runs.

Washington was a very soft 9-8, not having a win over a single team with a winning record. When the announces said the Redskins were 31st against the run I wondered why GB wasn't having success with the ground game and then they did start to move the ball.

Looks like the Pack is easing Abbrederis ever so gingerly into the game plan.

This was the first time in several weeks the other Packers receivers did something to justify their existence.

The most hilarious aspect of this legendary chimp-out occurred when Burfict, who had just intercepted Landry Jones for what should have been the game-clinching turnover, decided to "celebrate." Immediately following the INT, Burfict and a handful of other black imbeciles ran the entire length of the field, then through the tunnel, then into the locker room...as if to say "we just won the game, our offense now has the ball, the defense won't be needed any longer, we'll be in the locker room celebrating!" Who needs the Three Stooges when you have NFL affletes?

One play into the Bengals' next drive immediately following this all-time disgraceful display of "sportsmanship," Jeremy Hill fumbled (got to love NFL fundamentals) and 5 whole seconds of game time elapsed from Burfict's INT. Then, as Don mentioned, "Black Boys Gone Wild" commenced. Never thought I'd be happy to see the Steelers win...

The Pats are facing very stiff competition in the form of the Chiefs, winners of 11 straight games. During the KC-Houston game, Chiefs WR, Jeremy Maclin, literally cried while being carted off the field after sustaining what appeared to be a serious knee ligament tear. It turns out he merely sprained his ankle and might play this week against the Pats. Negro males are truly the most emotional, impulsive, and child-like creatures to ever walk the earth…

Given the alternatives, I’m really rooting for the Packers to represent the NFC in the Superbowl. A white QB, an all-white OL, a white WR (Abbrederis) that plays the #3 role in some sets, a white WR (Janis) that returns kickoffs, a white FB (Kuhn) who actually gets some touches, and two white defenders (Ryan and Matthews) on defense, one of whom is a star. A total of 9 white starters, with Abbrederis possibly forced into a starting role against Arizona with Davante Adams out with yet another injury…



Without the great Jordy Nelson, this offense has been rancid all season, with appalling play from their WRs and TEs. Randall Cobb, in particular, hasn’t been earning his pay. Green Bay looked good in the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] half against Washington, but they’ll be a major underdog against Arizona. If they get past the Cardinals, their chances of defeating Carolina (or the Seattle Luck-hawks) seem even slimmer.

Last year's Superbowl was as good as it gets for our cause, with the very white Pats defeating Plantation Pete & Co. Brady, Gronk, Edelman, Amendola, and the all-white OL fundamentally emasculated a very black Seattle team in one of the most exciting SB games ever played. It's hard to imagine New England getting back to the Superbowl this season, but it's still possible.

Best case Suerpbowl scenario: Packers-Patriots Superbowl, Packers-Chiefs wouldn't be too bad.

Worst case Superbowl scenario: Any game involving any combination of the Seahawks, Cardinals, Broncos, Steelers, or Panthers

I agree with your assessment on Best/Worst case for a super bowl match-up. I actually wouldn't mind seeing Manning lead the Broncos to a SB win or Palmer finally getting a win himself though. Those two options are the lesser of two evils.

I really couldn't handle Scam, midget Wilson or the Crawfords in the Super Bowl though.

This week's black quarterback elimination game is more of a struggle to call than the last. I'll grudgingly pull for the Panthers, simply because of their outstanding defense and Luke Keuchly, but with "Supaman" sCam Newton glory-hogging on offense, it makes for mixed emotions. But Pete's plantation surely has to go.

Agreed. I'd prefer Carolina to win this game, as the Seahawks are more "battle tested" in the playoffs and always seem to luck out and win games no matter how terrible they're playing. Also, with Greg Olsen and 4 whites that play on defense (Kuechly, Klein, Allen, Jones), the Panthers are the "whiter" squad.

I find Russell Wilson to be more objectionable than Cam Newton. The ultra-fake Wilson pretends to be a "good guy," but is highly arrogant and is hated by teammates. He also married a white mudshark (since divorced, no kids), whereas Cam merely impregnated his black girlfriend, a former stripper...



As for Carson Palmer winning his first Superbowl...well, that comes along with an all-black Arizona team. Who are we supposed to root for, the right guard? I'd honestly prefer Carolina over Arizona, but Cam winning will be hard to stomach, also.

Going back to the Thug Bowl, the Bengals have a legitimate point that Crawfords "assistant coach" Joey Porter should have been flagged for being on the field after Burfict's takeout of Antonio Brown, egging on Bengals, thus offsetting the unsportsmanlike penalty Pacman Jones received. It's a penalty for assistant coaches to be on the field, much less one who's engaging in thug-like taunting. It would have made the game winning field goal attempt closer to 50 yards rather than the near chip shot it turned out to be.

Porter had a long history of on-field buffoonery and thug posing when he played with Pittsburgh during the Bill Cowher era. One offseason I recall him being shot in the ass (literally). And of course he was always the unofficial team spokesman the deracinated reporters covering the team flocked to for quotes (before Porter it was the equally odious Greg Lloyd).

For GB Davante Adams out with a knee injury and Jared next up and perhaps I guess Janis will move up as well. I still think it will be a L but perhaps not the baby seal clubbing the last meeting was.

My roundup for last week's game I am still astounded by the play of Kuhn, everyone did their job but Kuhn was a force multiplier.

Kuhn was awesome. I only saw one poor play from him the whole game where he was stopped on a 3rd & 1 situation. He ran straight instead of cutting to the right where the hole was. He was a stud as usual both running and catching to go with his great blocking skills.

I am gonna be very excited to see the snow patrol at wide receiver. They have to play exceptional to continue to show this stupid coaching staff that they deserve more playing time.

I also think the Cards win but I do see a good game. I'm still hoping the Packers somehow pull out the win. That would be amazing. Don't ever count Aaron Rogers out. If he gets his confidence back, anything is possible.

It would be great if Abbredderis and Janis get extensive playing time, play great, help the Packers to the Super Bowl, play great in the Superbowl and help the Packers win.

I dunno, I've watched a lot of Cardinals football over the years, and this year as well, and I am not totally sold. I AM happy that Carson Palmer has vindicated himself, proven that he is a top tier QB.

I do think that if the Packers can come out hot on offense, with actual receivers who can get open and catch the ball (wink wink), they have a puncher's chance. Aside from the two lonely crackers on defense, I don't have much faith there for the Pack, but hey, sometimes the fried chicken, waffles and grits sufficiently motivate to inspire good play! Sorry if I offended any lurkers with such blatant rayciss comments, it's actually meant as a joke, but modern leftists pride themselves on being easily offended.

Maybe they can win, LT seems a bit more settled, but I will put the baby seal clubbing on McCarthy for not making what I would think to be simple adjustments to play calling for chipping the edge rusher or keeping in a two back set at least to save the franchise QB from being a human sacrifice. Maybe they learned we'll see Saturday night when Rabbi Michaels and his white man servant Chrissie call the game.

I dunno, it just depends on what kind of offense the Pack wants to run. If they decide to do the three plodding slow-to-get-open sets where Rodgers has to have four seconds in the pocket, they're done. If they run a quicker offense with some quickness (Abbrederis) and speed (Janis) where Rodgers can get rid of the ball fast, they might be able to score faster than the Cardinals and it will be a fun time for all.

If the Packers were smart, they'd hurt the Cardinals defense in the same manner as the Bengals did back in November. Packers RB, James Starks, could play the role of Bengals RB, Giovanni Bernard, who almost single-handedly beat Arizona with 8 catches for 128 yards. They have trouble defending short passes (which also neutralizes their great pass rush), which could mean that Abbrederis and Starks could be used heavily.

I, too, am happy to see Janis/Abbrederis finally get their chance. When the awful Davante Adams was injured earlier in the season, it was black rookie, Ty Montgomery (since placed on IR), who got most of the work in his stead. As was the case for the past 5-6 years, a Packers-Patriots Superbowl is preferable to our cause. Unfortunately, it never seems to work out that way.

Speaking of the Pats, their past performances in the Division Round following a 1st round bye concerns me. Lest we forget the magical comeback that was required for the Pats to defeat the Ravens (also in Foxborough) last season...

Twice they came back from a 14-point deficit against a team with far less quality than the red-hot Chiefs. I've read that Edelman and Brady have been putting in extra hours before/after practice the last few weeks to re-establish their great chemistry. If Julian returns to the fantastic form he showed (basically uncoverable) prior to the untimely broken foot, I think the Pats can beat anyone, as they proved in Superbowl 49.

It was unbelievable how the ****hawks were able to come out victorious. What was even more unbelievable was how they turned it around on a busted coverage and an Adrian Peterson fumble. Seattle had no business winning that game and they know it. Of course they will pretend they earned it and it went according to plan. That Dunbeetle Wilson probably went on about how god wanted them to win. What a repulsive team.

As long as Carolina/Seattle don't get past the NFL championship it will be a bearable rest of the playoffs.

CBS Boston believes Patriots OT Marcus Cannon will be cut this offseason. Cannon was forced into action after LT Nate Solder was lost to a torn bicep four games into the season. He failed miserably on the left side, and a switch to right tackle in December did not do much to help. Cannon was demolished by Von Miller in the Championship Game loss. Set to count $4.754 million against the cap, the Patriots will likely look for cheaper and better depth at tackle.
