How often does the 266th ranked player in the world get the largest picture on the cover of the PGA Tour site? Despite his ranking, and McIlroy and Spieth being the best golfers in the world over the last couple of years, Woods remains as the PGA's center of interest.

Just go the PGA Tour site and you'll see the world's 266th ranked player front and center. He'll be participating in this weeks Quicken Loans National.

Has anyone ever heard of Max Orrin? He's ranked 267th. No offense Max, you know what I'm saying.

Haha, I was just going to post something along the same lines. I turned on my TV as I was making lunch, which takes a while to turn on, left and came back and lo and behold Tiger was in the midst of a televised press conference. I figured it was the Golf Channel as it droned on for a long time, but when I returned realized it was BSPN's Sports Center that gave over so much of the show to Woods as they were now talking football, specifically the Cardinals hiring a female linebackers coach for training camp. The host asked Bill Polian and Ryan Clark if any of the players would object to a woman coaching them, and of course they both said no. After all their BSPN careers would be over if they said yes, and as for the players, even the black ones know now that while they can say and do just about anything, one thing they can't do is tread on the turf of feminists, homosexuals and Jews.

Then while eating lunch, I was reading BSPN's cultural communist "competitor," Sports Illustrated magazine, and on the last page was a piece by Alan Shipnuck (judging by his picture his name should be Alan Chipmunk) about who else, moaning about how it wasn't 2000 and 2005 again at St. Andrews, when Woods was victorious. And of course he had to get a malicious dig in at Jack Nicklaus, writing: "Woods, 39, has time to turn things around; Jack Nicklaus won the U.S. Open and the PGA Championship at 40, to say nothing of the Masters at 46. But Nicklaus's life and his game were always grounded in stability, with only his motivation coming and going." Really???? Jack, who won 18 majors and came in second 19 times and who had unparalleled concentration and determination, had "motivation problems"? Who knew, other than Alan Chipmunk.

All these media shills and trolls still pining for their hero should be called the "I'll Never Let Tiger Go Brigade," named after the 1997 movie Titanic when the girl is in the icy water after the ship sinks and realizes "Jack Dawson" is dead and says, "I'll never let you go, Jack, I'll never let you go."

Nice posts, Don and Carolina Speed.

His fangirls in the corporate media may not be able to "ever let him go," but at least the video game company, EA Sports, finally replaced Tiger with Rory for their golf game after utilizing Woods on the cover for the last 17 years...

It was "Happy Days Are Here Again" for a giddy We'll Never Let Tiger Go media yesterday as Woods shot a second round 66 and was actually in contention. But then today happened and Woods is +3 after 11 holes and has dropped to around 30th place at the Quicken Loans tournament, which Woods "hosts" every year. I turned it on just in time to see Tiger hit his t-shot into the water at an easy par 3 and end up with double bogey.

After his 66 the odds of Woods winning the PGA Championship dropped from 60 to 1 to 30 to 1 (I'm not making this up). And of course media coverage of golf once again became 99% Tiger-centric. Hopefully he'll end up near last place in his own tournament.

That's funny Don, "Happy Days Are Here Again." I just got in from doing some yard work to see Tiger make 2 birdies, but then "it" happened again on 18 where Tiger hit it so far out of the fairway into 3 foot of fescue, he had to take a drop. Hit his 3rd shot almost into the stands right. I think he got a drop and a good shot on the green and putted for BOGEY and was lucky to get away with that. He finished +4 on the day and -5 and T-42 for the tournament.

Merritt and Chappell are tied at the top at -14
Rickie Fowler is 2nd at -13

The good sport that Tiger is, denied CBS an interview after his day!

Hats off to Charles Howell III for shooting a 67 while putting up Tiger's erratic day.

Howell III has won over 28 million on the tour, but only 2 wins. I wouldn't mind seeing him win tomorrow. Unlike Tiger, he showed some class and granted CBS an interview.

One of the most putrid golf article I’ve ever read comparing Spieth to Woods. Naturally, it’s brimming with hardcore anti-white racism, bemoans “white privilegeâ€￾ in golf, and features a nauseating level of Tiger-aggrandizement…

http://progolfnow.com/2015/08/01/jordan-spieth-will-never-tiger-woods

Jordan Spieth has already won two majors this year, was in contention for a third, and is quickly becoming a household name. However, no matter what Spieth accomplishes, he will never draw a crowd like Tiger Woods.

I want to clarify, this isn’t a “LeBron will never be as good as Michael Jordanâ€￾ rant. Spieth could one day be considered the best golfer of all time, but even that won’t be enough to draw non-golf fans to their televisions. Simply put; Spieth does not transcend golf.

If you go to any golf course or driving range, you’ll see dozens of Spieths, not in talent, but in physical appearance. Young, white, preppy golfer isn’t exactly considered to be ground breaking or original.

Woods was a lot more to golf than just a great player; he was a cultural symbol of change. Woods brought people of all different races and ethnicities to the television. Spieth will never have that draw, and that’s not his fault, but it’s also something that can’t be denied.

When Tiger Woods won his first Masters in 1997, the TV ratings skyrocketed. From 1996 to 1997, the ratings increased from 10.2 million average viewers over the final two rounds, to an astonishing and record-breaking (at the time) 15.8 million average viewers.

On just the final day of Spieth’s 2015 victory, 14 million viewers on average watched the golf prodigy bring home the green jacket (per PGATour.com). So, even on Sunday, the most exciting day of the Masters weekend, Spieth could not draw as many viewers on average as Woods did back in 1997 on both Saturday and Sunday.

Not to mention, the final round of the 2015 Masters included Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy and Woods, albeit Woods and McIlroy were not realistically in contention. Even so, that was a pretty stacked lineup. Arguably the four biggest names in golf were all on the course at the same time, and it still didn’t trump the excitement Woods brought back in 1997 by himself.

What most fans forget, Lee Elder made headlines in 1975 because he was the first African American just to play in the Masters (per PGA.com). Roughly 22 years later, Woods not only won the Masters, he dominated by 12 strokes, which is still a record to this day. Only two decades separated the first ever African American participant and the first African American winner. That’s a pretty quick turnaround for a sport as un-diverse as golf.

An African American was dominating the sport unlike anybody every has before, and people instantly became hooked. Not too long after his rise to national prominence, Woods signed endorsement deals with American Express, General Motors, General Mills, Accenture and Nike. Notice, most of those companies aren’t even related to sports. Woods didn’t simply transcend golf, he transcended sports.

Spieth has yet to accomplish such a feat, and he probably never will. The 21-year-old prodigy can win as many major as he wants, but unless he brings something different than white male viewers/players to the golf course, he’ll never be Woods. Perhaps Spieth could date a controversial celebrity or pull a Johnny Manziel and become the bad boy of golf. This scenario is probably unlikely, but just being a clean-cut white guy won’t be enough.

Woods brought fans of all races to their televisions whether his reputation was squeaky clean or covered in elephant feces. No matter his reputation, Woods was still the African American, Native American, Asian, golfer with big muscles and a handsome face. It’s as if Woods was born to elevate golf. Even after a morally incriminating scandal, people still flocked to their TVs to see him dominate.

The first round of the 2010 Masters (Woods’ first Masters appearance post-scandal) averaged 4.936 million viewers, the most ever on the first day of the Masters (at the time). No matter the crime, if Woods is on the scene, people will watch.

If Spieth truly wants to “saveâ€￾ golf, then he needs to be fully committed. He needs to date a Kardashian, or get busted with a large amount of narcotics. O.K., narcotics may be going too far, but the point remains the same: He can’t draw a multi-race crowd simply by being good at golf.

Notice how the writer reminds us that Spieth is a “white guyâ€￾ (not a “man,â€￾ of course) on three different occasions. His own homoerotic fantasy bleeds onto the page as he informs us that Tiger has “big musclesâ€￾ and a “handsome face.â€￾ Also, in his sagely opinion, no matter how well Spieth performs in his career, he will never have the diverse fan base that Woods had/has. I guess he should just give up, huh?

A few logical questions. Doesn’t the fact that the fans like Tiger better, simply because he’s multiracial, make the fans racist against Spieth? Does Spieth really care if his fans are white or non-white? If so, wouldn’t that make him racist? Do people still see race or color anymore? In the eyes of this Marxist “writer,â€￾ is it even possible to be racist against whites?

Below average even for a Tiger piece. Author isn't even out of school yet so all he knows is hivethink.

One of us could have written that piece of crap as a parody while watching TV.

I suppose Tiger's status will end up something like Ali's. A standard to certain types to use so they can always degrade white athletic success with yeahbuts.

Typical sportscuckster article, white guys not cool enough, not good enough, not black enough, same old crap. A lot of Wood's popularity was because people DISLIKED him, this article talks about how high the ratings were when he returned from his scandals, that's because people wanted to see the pervert LOSE. How is that a positive?

Cucks need to be purged from sports as well as politics, and religion, and media, and government, and .....just about everywhere.

Wow, can you comment on the article, because if so i going to tear it limb from limb. I agree thrashen, that article is a shocker. Anyone knkw the "writer".

I was going to comment on the fact that woods is not black, hes quarter black at best, yet at the start he claims african american dominates like no other. Well he cant be that good as he doesnt have the most tour titles ever and he doesnt have the most majors ever. However later on in the article the moron admits woods is not even black???

And handsome, woods horific looking. I literally do not know one girl of any race that even called him slightly attractive.

Beggers belief how bad that article is!

In the 1960's you would always hear, "Jack Nicklaus is a greater golfer than Arnold Palmer ever was, but he doesn't have Arnie's charisma."

And Arnold Palmer supposedly "transcended golf" and made it more popular.

Jack Nicklaus was disliked by some for displacing Arnold Palmer as golf's best player but over time Jack became very popular. It wasn't manufactured, as with a good many sports figures we are "told" to worship.

And yet Phil Mickelson, who was Wood's greatest rival in their heydays, is still ranked #20 (over 240 spots higher than Tiger) in the world and is in the field. I know Tiger's won more Majors, but in the last 7 years, Mickelson has had 2 major wins to Woods' 0. Unlike Woods, Phil (who's 6 years older than Tiger) can still play at a reasonably high level.

Did anyone from here contact that negrophilia-****** Marxist yet?

He is a perfect example of what the snakes have done to our young/millennialists and just about everyone else in the last 50+ years.

Btw, is Zapata a Jewish surname? That would change my tone to even more emphatic if I know for sure...

I am about to go off on him. Anyone else?

Ok, I just replied in the comments section of the article itself rather than twitter, which I don't have. Some of you should contact him via twitter and the twit himself can read a good rant or two or twenty!

We'll see how long my post stays there. I was much, much more brief than I wanted to be. I decided I wasn't going to waste much time with him and his readers. Maybe one in a hundred reading through will be someone who will "get it".

I also replied to the duped soul who was clearly a worshiper of Tigger and swallows the whole false narrative of Tigger. This was obvious with his whole post in the thread of the overrated brat being about him "transcending the whole game and all of sports along with Ali, blah, blah, blah..."

Zapata is a Spanish surname. I've heard it used many times in both Spain and South America. I don't think he's a Jew...just an ugly, NBA-doting, Tiger-adoring, fledgling Marxist...

There's a new meme out there for so-called (White) "Conservative" politicians that don't have the interests of their own people at heart...for identifying and supporting something or someone that is not in any way related to them nor have their best interests at heart. It was created to effectively marginalize and shame candidates like Jeb Bush and other so-called (White) "Conservatives" after they uniformly condemned Donald Trump for his anti-illegal immigrant statements and stance...#Cuckservative.

I say we create another hashtag for White sportscasters that do the same thing and call it #Sportscucksters or just #Sportscuckster.

This entered my mind when I was at the gym the other day and some college football recruiting show was on BSPN and three White male hosts were going over the latest recruiting news and all of the recruits they covered were black...giving all of them praise.

This hashtag could also refer to this ignorant, self-loathing, weak fairy as well.

I think a longstanding poster and moderator jaxvid already coined this exact term a couple of days ago. No hard feelings: no idea's original and great minds think alike. Keep using it if you believe it can stick.

Ha! I seriously had no idea. Just got back from being on vacation for a few days without a computer and had it on my mind to post this thought when I returned. Bizarre.

Either great minds think alike or jaxvid better be concerned that I can read his .

"Tiger Ready to Roar at Least Once More" is the laughable headline in today's sports section. Woods will play in the Wyndham Championship next week for the first time in a last ditch effort to qualify for the FedEx Cup playoffs. Woods is currently 186th in the standings and only the top 125 qualify, so he will have to finish at least second at the Wyndham.

Should be another lol event to follow. And of course the media now has its pretext for over-the-top coverage all next week of their idol's final "roar" for 2015.

Well then!

On the same note, here's a question for everyone:

When you've ever (if ever) listened to NPR news briefs how often does the news on there conjure up reactions of fist-pumping and exclamations of "Yes!!!"?

Well, that's what it did for me on my way home today listening for the mostly classical music station that it is out in this time zone at about 8:20 this morning hearing that, "the World's Former Number 1 player is out...."

Hilarious! Had to share my NPR experience, LOL!!!!!

For anyone interested, Tiger was in contention for the first 3 rounds of the Wyndam Championship, but now seems to be self-destructing yet again. He was 2 out of the lead at the beginning of the day to 2 players, but now is 3 out to 6-7 players,(-15) at -12, he just bogeyed a par 3.

The leaders are at -15, including Davis Love III, Jason Gore, Scott Brown, Paul Casey, etc.

You'd think North Carolina native and former PGA Champ, Love III, would be the favorite, but the DWF's/Tiger Worshippers are in full force, I'm embarrassed and sad to say here in my home state.

Jason Gore is now the leader by himself at -16!

In the old days, Woods, would have destroyed the likes of Gore, Brown, etc. Not only can he not hang with these journeymen, he's losing to an aging senior golfer in Love III, 51 years old.

Here's hoping DL3 pulls it out.

After three days of full-throated Tiger-mania from the media and the DWFs in his gallery, this can still end happily, fittingly and comically if Woods loses to golfing senior citizen Love and ends up out of the FedEx Cup playoffs, not that he has a snowball's chance in hell even if he does qualify.

DL3 just eagled number 15 and is in the lead at -17.

Meanwhile Woods triple bogeys number 11 to fall to -10!

In route to that triple bogey, Tiger hooked his second shot from about 160, shanked/bladed his third shot almost injuring spectators, fluffed his 4th shot, skulled his 5th shot past the hole and finally 2 putted for his 7.
