If anyone is wondering, the USA is starting 9 whites and 2 mestizos today in their friendly with South Korea... Wondo already has a goal!! It's on ESPN2 for those interested.

I could cheer for that team. When was the last time I could cheer for a U.S. team in international sports?

I agree, but I doubt it stays that way for the WC. There was an article recently about two useless blacks whose status may be in jeopardy, but Klinsmann sounded optimistic about their chances for the roster.

I'm hoping that team USA can start 7-8 whites by the time the WC line-ups are finalized. I can definitely root for that team.

The US is playing against Ukraine today in a friendly. I know they started 4 whites today, as the squad is mostly off the Euro-based players, including all of the Blermans like Jones and Johnson. The two black CBs for the USA are beyond dreadful today from what I've seen. They've forced Howard into several tough spots so far. Not surprisingly, the USA is down 2-0 right now.

Julian Green picks U.S. over Germany

Congratulations, you finally found your new messiah.:amen:
Good news.

As a supporter of the German national team, I wouldn't want this mongrel bastard, born in Florida, disgracing the uniform. He shouldn't even have the option to play for Germany at all. With the USgAy he'll most likely just bump out another negro player, if he actually plays and isn't all hype.

I agree with Freethinker's sentiment all the way here. I also root for the German national team, so I'm glad that he chose to represent the USA, and not displacing a German white player. The USA can keep him.

How many times will this demographic be seen again? It's even more remarkable considering that one of the mestizos is the goalkeeper - a positional player heralded for prescience, concentration, vision, positioning anticipation, and leadership, rather than the nebulous qualities of "athleticism," "upside," and "room-brightening smile."

I hope Michael Parkhurst plays well at left back, since he is auditioning for a bench position. Young bleached-blonde afro-mohawk DeAndre Yedlin (sic?) is curiously on the bench in lieu of White Hispanic Tony Beltran: I guess I'd prefer the equally-unheralded latter.

If Wondolowski manages to tear up the field or be so rude to his black rivals as to net once or twice, he could finally earn a spot on the plane past toting bags for his fellow hundred-thousandaires.

That makes 9 whites then with Beltran being a white hispanic! I forgot to count him! The USA is up 2-0 so far, with goals from Bradley and Wondolowski!! This game has been very fun to watch this far... the very white "MLS-version" of the USA looking great, much more in sync then their black-laden "Euro" team usually looks.

The USA begins the 2nd half leading 2-0. Michael Bradley's been having a great night so far for the Yanks. Zusi has also been playing good. This team has been so fun to watch. If they start a lineup like this for the WC, they'll easily be among our favorite teams to root for.

Update: Mexico gets one back. 2-1 Yanks. Gonzales got picked, allowing the Mexican player a free header.

Michael Bradley was the best player on the pitch last night and it wasn't even close. He was used as an attacking central mid and showed how talented and creative he can be. Tell me again why did Roma sell this guy?

Beckerman played well as his defensive pairing. I'd start either him or Cameron over the overrated, error prone, foul prone Jermaine Jones at defensive mid.

Gonzalez's time as starter should end too. He stunk. Either Goodson or Cameron should take his place. Also, Parkhurst played well enough to be considered for a fullback position. DeMarcus Beasley should be no where near the pitch of a World Cup level match.

Also, to be completely honest and as objective as possible, Fabian Johnson and Eddie Johnson are the only non-Whites worthy of significant playing time. The rest of the lot are wildly overrated by Klinsman and the DWFs of team USgAy. Even Tim Howard, who will surely start, is not as good as people will lead you to believe. The best lineup would contain a minimum of 8 Whites but could be ideal with 9 and give them the best shot of winning.

You got that right about Gonzalez. He was responsible for both of Mexico's goals, including one of his patented brain farts on the second goal when he was caught ball-watching again. Even some of the DWFs are now saying Gonzalez needs to go now, as well as Jermaine Jones.

Also, hopefully Wondo secured a roster spot last night as well.

I just want to follow up on Freethinker's post in the French soccer thread about the "US" soccer team. I just took a peak at the 20-man roster from their last two games... 9 whites (including a few white Hispanics in Bedoya, Morales, and Ventura Alvarado). Obviously, this was a "B" team, but still, it's not much worse than the "A" team in ignoring home-grown players. The Yanks have fallen far from the days of Bob Bradley just a few years ago. I know there are good white American players out there, it's just that Klinnsmann and Gulati would rather scour the Earth for a bunch of dual-citizens who weren't good enough to play for the likes of their home countries (Germany and Mexico come to mind). The only good thing about Klinnsmann is that he's preventing a good number of Blermans from actually being eligible for Germany (not that they have the talent to play for Die Mannschaft, but with Loew, you never know).

I agree. Unfortunately, the problem has actually been brewing for awhile now thanks to the longstanding tandem of Gulati (Dravidian president of USSF) and Garber (jewish commissioner of MLS). There are currently 'caste positions' on the US team: blacks can never be excluded from any positional consideration, but whites certainly can. The MLS is still a feeder system to the national team, even if European leagues are an intermediary step to many World Cup call-ups. The single-entity structure of the league dictates a base level of behind-the-curtain rearranging of every MLS team roster. Teams have some agency with individual decisions, but not enough to, say, exclude blacks from their starting eleven.

Fullbacks and wings are the primary MLS 'caste' positions where whites are systematically excluded. I'm hard-pressed to name a starting white fullback under 28 with citizenship in the entire league (*), even though colleges fare seamlessly without such clearcut racial apprenticeships. Strikers are also few and far between. The only young white MLS players that are thrown onto the field early to develop "dat upside" are center midfielders and center backs. Sound similar to the old NFL adage, "blacks on the outside, whites on the inside?"

This policy has been brewing for awhile and will take time to flush out, starting with the removals of Gulatti, Garber, and Klinsmann. I'd ideally like a figurehead like Bruce Arena to assume Gulati's job and perhaps Ben Olsen for Klinsmann. As for Garber... lol maybe somebody with a smaller nose?

* Actually now that I say that, Robbie Rogers the avowed anal sex fetishist comes to mind, which is why he is urgently being "groomed" for USMNT duty.

That's the key to this whole mess. Unfortunately, Klinsmann's job appears very safe and I wouldn't even know where it would begin to get rid of a rat like Gulati. Miss qualification for a World Cup? Hope he dies or retires?

I agree with that suggestion. I'm sure Arena could never getting away with fully reversing the policy, but maybe we could get something like an England/Netherlands composition (I.E. 7-8 whites starting). I'd never thought I'd see the day we'd be worse than France in terms of white starters.

There a couple of white midfielders across the pond that are getting some playing time for their clubs. 18 year old Emerson Hyndman is getting some time for Fulham in the championship this year, but has been battling injuries.

latest

Another guy is 20 year old Marc Pelosi, who's currently on Liverpool's U21 team. He's actually been called by Klinsmann to the preliminary roster before the "USMNT" played Chile in January. In a shocking development, I think this is the first white German-American Klinsmann has called.

latest

As for the caste positions you mentioned.

Up front, the only young white player that's established himself is Icelander Aron Johannsson (who probably feels pretty stupid now, as he's missing out on what's looking like the great team Iceland's ever fielded, as they are in prime position to qualify for the Euros.) There's also Stanford forward Jordan Morris on the most current roster. I'm still curious as to why the young Jack McInerney is constantly left out.

As for the fullbacks, it looks like there are going to be two whites that will have a great chance at playing time: Greg Garza and Brek Shea(who's being tried as a fullback). Unfortunately, they'll likely be competing against each other, as the immortal DeAndre Yedlin has one of the spots likely locked up.

At centreback, hopefully Klinsmann's done with the Jermaine Jones experiment there; even DWFs say he's not good there. It appears as if one Blerman, John Brooks, has a good shot to start there. I'm hoping Besler's able to keep the other spot over cement feet Omar Gonzalez.

Unfortunately, with these losers in charge, it's unlikely that most of these guys are going to get a shot anytime soon. Gulati and Klinsmann have more important people to call like Miguel Ibarra, who plays on the 7th place team in the North American Soccer League....

With the April 15th friendly against Mexico not an international break day, I'm curious to see what squad will get called. More than likely it'll contain a lot of the same undeserving players who keep on getting called up. I guess Klinsmann "forgot" what type of team he won Euro 1996 with.

So how much longer are we looking at Klinsmann in charge? Not much of a soccer guy but I'm ready for this clown to be out of our country.

Unless the USA goes and loses to "heavyweights" in CONCACAF like Panama, Jamaica, Canada, or Honduras, Klinsmann will be in charge for a long time yet. The only teams worth anything in our region besides the US are Mexico and Costa Rica (the latter made it to the Quarterfinals in the last World Cup). Since the Top 3 teams automatically qualify, you see the unbelievably easy path that the "Yanks" have to go through. The last round of qualifying features the the aforementioned three good teams along with some combination of crappy teams. Despite what ESPN says, the USA should never miss a WC qualification with this putrid region, and the always qualify for the Gold Cup (our "equivalent" to the Euros). Unless the team takes a HUGE nosedive, it'll be hard for Gulati and Klinsmann to be fired, unfortunately.

In other news, I looked up how "our" U-23 team was doing prior to Olympic Qualification. Well, they lost 1-0 to powerhouse Denmark. The U-23, coached by Klinsmann assistant Andreas Herzog, started 4 whites (including white Mexican Luis Gil), 4 blacks and 3 mestizos. Hey, at least this is "better" than what Klinsmann managed to put on the pitch last game.

Denmark started 10 whites and finished with the same ratio.

One interesting development that did not make the mainstream (ESPN) news cycle: Clint Dempsey was sent off in rather petulant fashion at the end of an early round US Cup game (the American equivalent of the FA Cup: less prestigious, but the winner automatically places into the CONCACAF Champions League). After a red card and a late injury reduced Dempsey's Seattle Sounders to nine men, the overmatched referee pulled out a second red card for another teammate. The flabbergasted captain Dempsey immediately receives a yellow for verbal dissent, then pickpockets the scorecard out of the referee's back pocket, rips it up, and marches off the pitch.

This was a doomed result in front of just a few thousand fans (the games aren't even televised). Unfortunately for Dempsey, the stunt with the scorecard might qualify as "assault on a referee's person" and earn him a mandatory three month ban in USOC jurisdiction, bumping him from the Gold Cup team that he is set to captain.

The question is how strongly Klinsmann will react. If Dempsey is stripped of captaincy, we could see another Donovan-esque rift between the top US star and a coach with an appetite for the spotlight. Perhaps the USOC punishment will be deferred in some accommodating manner, and nothing will become of it. Just interesting to keep tabs on after the US fared well in two friendlies with a 50-50 non-white lineup. Losing a guaranteed starter in Dempsey is never helpful.

Well, here's the U.S.A.'s roster for the Gold Cup upcoming in July: By my count, there are 14 out of 23 white guys on the team. As a side note, I did count Ventura Alvarado as white; he definitely looks white in the pics of him that I saw... here's a pic of him:

I'm actually getting to fifteen out of the 23, including the jewish weirdo Beckerman and the "white hispanics" Bedoya, Morales, Alvarado, and whatever you call the Mexican-raised Anglo William Yarbrough. I did not realize Alvarado passed the eyeball test. Alfredo Morales seems to as well.

Brooks, Chandler, Johnson, Altidore, Zardes, and Yedlin are the six blacks. Rimando and Gonzalez are the "mestizos."

Klinsmann and the other coaches will have the opportunity to swap six players from their provisional pool of 35 after the knockout rounds to accommodate club schedules. I'd expect Matt Besler to come in at center back and Wondolowski to depart at forward, perhaps for Jordan Morris. That said, 15/23 is relatively racist for this team lately. It will be interesting to see who plays. I'm particularly pleased that Tim Ream got the call - apparently he's moved to left back now.

The Gold Cup is not important itself, but it funnels a berth into the prestigious Confederations Cup next year. If I recall correctly, the United States won the previous Gold Cup and clinched a one-game playoff against whoever wins this tournament; if the USA wins again, obviously no need for the playoff. Barring disaster, it's a Mexico vs USA showdown with perhaps Costa Rica angling for an upset.

Btw, still no "official ruling" on Dempsey's referee dust-up, although the MLS took initiative and suspended him for league games - a totally unnecessary step, but with hope of circumventing national team repercussions.

Thanks for the catch on Morales, Phall!! I must have missed him when I skimmed over the roster for the count. I might actually cheer for this team depending on their starters - besides Altidore, all the forwards are white!

Wow.... the USA is starting 9 whites tonight!!!! Even more perplexing, NO Blermans start. Tune in, this is the most whites the USA has started in many, many years.

The entire back 4 is changed from last game... Greg Garza, Tim Ream, and Brad Evans all start. Zusi, Aron Johannsson, and Mix Diskerud are the other new additions to the starting XI.

With an all-White USWNT winning the Women's World Cup, you'd think that at some point logic would kick in. I mean, from what race of man, literally, did the sperm belong to that created those White female soccer player's that won the World Cup? Then, from that logic, shouldn't it be easy to deduce that you might get the same results by playing the male version of that race...or at least give it a try?
