Buffon, Italy's 36 year old keeper, has played a FANTASTIC match to this point. if only his teammates would rise to his level ...

Italy's poor effort have cost them … what a header by Godin for Uruguay! now the Italians are finally playing futbol, but is it too late? they are down a man and down a goal with time swiftly ticking away.

did Suarez bite yet another player? what a freak!

the Azurri are now the Nero y Azurri (Black and Blue).

i felt that Uruguay deserved the win, though what the heck is going on with Suarez?!? biting a guy?!?

Italy played not to lose for nearly the whole match, at least until they went down a goal, and it cost them. other than Baffon who played magnificently, they didn't play well enough to win.

uruguay didn't produce anything either
it's a shame that this game was decided on refereeing
not sure if marchisio deserved a red card
suarez sure deserved one for biting chiellini
uruguay have been helped by the refereeing a lot in that game
it would have been nice to see italy without balotelli in the next game

I could careless how many Whites Italy has if the one black on the team is being used by the Media Bosses to push an agenda.

Non-White countries with Black players dont bother me because there is no agenda being pushed on those countries.

The disaster continues for white teams in this WC, but in all honesty I'm not sad for Italy. You bring in a highly disruptive, low impulse, immature African and start him at forward, what do you expect?

Can Greece beat Ivory Coast at least? I don't have much confidence, but it's a true caste match-up and hoping they can pull thru.

A lot of stupidity in this match. Marchisio had no need to do that and was deservingly sent off. Balotelli was being himself. Chiellini seemed to spend half the match lying around holding his face. The Italians reminded me of their past teams - against France in 2000, South Korea in 2002 - just trying to sit on a lead then losing. As for Suarez, I think he's just ruined everything. He'll now get expelled from the tournament or at least given a suspension for 3 or more games.

Suarez should get a 5-10 game suspension for that bite.

This is the third time that he bit another player.:dizzy:

There isn't any conclusive evidence, but really, you have to go on his record and Chiellini's reaction:

But you got to give it to the sheer shamelessness of Suarez.....he's just bit someone, and the next moment,he's playacting,as if he took an elbow to the face.

Yes,a set-piece,and Godin made the difference.

it's a shame that this game was decided on refereeing

:smash:

not sure if marchisio deserved a red card

While it was deliberate,I think a yellow would've sufficed....but like Matra said, there was absolutely no need to do that at all!

Bright side is,I think that Balotelli will finally be apportioned some blame for Italy's exit.

a straight red card for that is really harsh
it reminds me of what van bommel did against uruguay just before van bronkhorst's goal:

Irrespective of result,I think it'll be a good old snoozefest...I'll skip it for sure.

going to watch it, rooting 100% for greece

remember the last time greece played an african team in the world cup:

it must be the end of balotelli
i hope he gets signed somewhere in turkey
he is responsible for italy's exit with this game and the one against costa rica
uruguay will get kicked out in the next round by colombia, most likely

Yes,for all those dejected by Italy's exit, there's atleast thsi one silver lining....the cult of Balotelli is officially dead!

he is responsible for italy's exit with this game and the one against costa rica

Precisely:

Balotelli alone was responsible for Italy's loss to Costa Rica:

Here's Balotelli's dashboard:

Only Greece and Russia left for all-white teams (though Argentina is very close to all-white).
