I will be shocked if Manziel is drafted high. Today, I was treated to former Redskins' TE Chris Cooley doing his usual, Merrill Hoge-like routine, blasting Manziel for his alleged lack of football knowledge on the ridiculous Jon Gruden QB school thing. I saw a few clips of this show, and Chucky as usual was much harder on this huge threat to the Caste system than he ever is to any black quarterback.
I will never forget how he belittled Colt McCoy's accent a few years back, while all the jock sniffing "journalists" giggled like schoolgirls. I can't wait to see him comment on Jameis Winston's Oxford-style diction.
Last week, the Vikings new coach, Mike Zimmer, publicly criticized Manziel, and basically said they weren't interested. The Browns and Jaguars appear to prefer any QB, even the brother of the despised David Carr, over this Casteon nightmare. I think the Texans are the only possibility. If they pass on him, for the clear media favorite, the fat, lazy, totally unproductive "freak" Clowney, I honestly think Manziel could slide into the later rounds, where Merrill Hoge and so many others want him to be drafted.
This is all so frustrating, because if Manziel wasn't white, he would be considered a revolutionary type of player.
