first, i have never been a big fan of this team, despite beeing french

france is first of their qualification group for euro 2012 right now, but they lost against bielorussia, and did a nul in their second match against them
i think it is possible that france doesn't qualifies for the euro 2012

but after that, there will be the qualifications for the 2014 world cup: and france is in the second pot, meaning that they will have to play against spain, holland, germany, england, portugal, italy, croatia, norway, greece, in addition to the usual mediocre teams they have trouble to beat
and only the first of each group will be directly qualified ( the 8 best second of groups will have a play-off, for 4 more places)
http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...nce-in-world-cup-2014-qualifiers-2326369.html

these results are of course the consequence of the augmentation of the number of black players in the french team, while the other teams have less blacks
greece and croatia are of course here because they have almost no blacks

also, england is in danger: they have maybe the baddest national team they ever had
they are REALLY bad
they might not qualify to eur 2012, because montenegro is simply better than them
it is the case of course because the english premier league has so many foreign players, they have trouble finding good english players ( and they have a lot of blacks, of course)

"france" even beat them, really easely
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=terSTP1lsLw&feature=related

the qualification groups for 2014 will be drawn saturday night

Their youth teams (ie U19) are looking very black. England's national team may soon be like France's.

I'm glad France and England are losing then. Especially to all-white teams.

yes

if montenegro manages to eliminate england, it would be so ridiculous , and such a victory for the white athlete
i will definitely root for montenegro

and since i watch soccer, i watch every match of "france" and i root for the other team, even if it is an african team
i had a lot of fun doing this
for example this match against the third team of china (not the best players of china, and not even the second bests):

the chinese coach asked his own players to go easy, to play not at their maximum level, because the last time they played against "us", they injuried cissé
(very funny too)

and it was with a french crowd
so i think it might be the most pathetic defeat of all time, a good way to prepare for the 2010 world cup, wich was a few weeks later

this is what i want to see when i watch a match involving "france" or now "england"

for england, it's more complicated though, because even their white players are not as good as before, ofcourse because the english premier league has few english players, and a lot of foreign players

What would you say is the percentage of white French people who support the French team?

Do most French people talk (even in private) about why the team is so black?

i have never seen a white french who told me he suported the french team
some suporters suport the french team even if the team is very black, but they boo them when they lose

white french suport swimmers, rugby players, or other sports
every body is disgusted by this team, and usually soccer in general, or they say for example "look at spain, a team that represents the country they play for" while france is all-black nearly
when i say to a french white that the team is abnormally black, he sys that blacks must be better (lol) cheaper (lol) or that the team represents the part of the population that plays soccer (this is partially true, because poors play soccer in france, for example my father did not want me to play it, even if it was my favorite sport)
in france also, people almost never talk about the colour of a player, they say he is muslim, or he comes from a poor place, is uneducated, but they never say the colour

FFF (french football federation) understood that the popularity of soccer was decreasing in france as a result of the image they gave to soccer, and they try to change that , by pushing more white players (2 "white" by team+arabs)
but the "whites" can be gypsies like gignac, muslims converts like ribery, spanish and italians like valbuena, lloris ect, or jews like carasso

I see. Thanks for the information.

What is the current racial breakdown of the starters and team as a whole?

coach: laurent blanc, white, married to an arab (actually, his wife is algerian, but "pied noir" , that means that she is descendant of europeans, but i think she is also partly arab because blanc used the fact his wife was algerian to prove he was not racist)

Hugo Lloris : spanish (catalan) origin, white
Steve Mandanda black
Cédric Carrasso jew, relatively white
Bacary Sagna black
Patrice Évra black
Adil Rami arab , moroccan
Younès Kaboul arab, moroccan
Mamadou Sakho black
Anthony Réveillère white
Éric Abidal black, married to an arab, convert to islam
Yohan Cabaye of vietnamian (asian) origin, white
Franck Ribéry white, convert to islam, married to an arab and i have read an article in wich it was said that he had very ancient chinese origin
Mathieu Valbuena of spanish origin, white
Samir Nasri algerian origin, arab
Florent Malouda mostly black, he is from a place where there is amerindian blood (guyanne)
Yann M'Vila black
Alou Diarra black
Abou Diaby black
Blaise Matuidi black
Marvin Martin of non french origin, portuguese maybe, mostly white
Charles N'Zogbia black
Guillaume Hoarau black, part amerindian
Karim Benzema algerian, arab
Jérémy Ménez spanish, white
Kévin Gameiro portuguese origin, white
Loïc Rémy black

so it's 13 blacks out of 26, 50 %
it is better than a few years ago, but it still enormous, and if we add the arabs, and the other whites that are not really french, it is difficult for me to root for them

this is the french team right now, but we could add gourcuff, he might come back sometime, and he is briton
mexes (of spanish or portuguese origin, white) is not in this list, but he is the usual central defender, with rami

lloris is the main goal keeper, they tried to play with mandanda, but he was aweful (this is what he did in the last match http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVn3VBd01yw)

alou diarra is the captain and he always plays
sakho is expected to be the next central defender, they always praise his physique, they say how powerful he is ect lol, but when he plays, he is really bad

for the rest of the team, everybody can play, laurent blanc changes the team for every match

Hmmm ... seems to be getting blacker and more Arab as well. I am sorry to hear that white French people have largely been removed from the team. As I recall, the French team that won the 1984 European Cup was all white (at least the starters) and the 1998 team was still mostly white (I believe 6 or 7 starters were white and 4 were black).

true, but after the generation that won the 1998 world cup, we had teams with no white players, and it was 14 blacks / 23 in the 2006 world cup and 13/23 in the 2010 world cup, it was blacker, but there were less arabs (0 in 2010)

in the euro 2008, there were 14 blacks/23 plus 2 arabs

Unfortunately, the French Euro 1984-winning team featured one black in the starting lineup - Jean Tigana (who was the only non-White in the squad).

Two qualify from each group? If so, Spain should lock up one spot. Let's hope Finland or Belorussia can kncok off the "French" team.

from what i understood, france have very few chances to qualify, because the first of each group qualifies (spain should be first) and only the best second of each group have the right to play a play-off

if france manages to play one of these play-off, they will have little chance to win

BUT, it will be very difficult to be one of the best second, because france is in a group with only 5 teams, and the others have 6 teams, so logically the teams that will play against more teams will have ore points in the end
there will be 9 groups, so 9 second place finishers
only the eight best second place finishers will have the right to play a play-off
and france is in the only group that has 5 teams (the other groups have one more team)

for example if france is second from his group with 12 points, and if the second place finishers of all the other groups have more than 12 ponits, france won't play a play-off, they will be directly eliminated, and the 8 best second place finishers will play a play-off, in wich 4 second place finishers will qualify for 2014 world cup

so france must win against spain if they want to qualify

are there really more players with portuguese/spanish roots then with french?
If did you look just at the second name?
Becuase for example you can be 1% spanish and still have a spanish name.
A lot of french people have a foreign name I think becuase france has a lot of neightbours.

And Ribery just really hates being white.what does he mean very ancient chinese 15 generations ago or so 1/32768?

yes, there are few real french
they come from immigration, the same kind of immigration that the arabs
in the south west of france, there is no real separation between france and spain, and for example the basque country in in france and also in spain
same for catalunia
so you can be french but have a spanish or basque name if you come from the south west of france
like for example lizarazu, or frederick bousquet, the swimmer

but this is not the case of the soccer players i listed
valbuena is born in the south west of france, but his father was born in valladolid for example, and his name is carlos

I remember that the French 1984 European Championship winning squad contained:

Manuel Amoros (born in Spain)

Luis Fernandez (born in Spain)

Michel Platini (Italian background)

Bruno Bellone (Italian background)

Jean-Marc Ferreri (Italian background)

Bernard Genghini (Italian background)

frederic38 - Hmm, I didn't know that Giresse and Battiston had, respectively, Spanish and Italian ancestry - but, then again, I'm not French...

battiston is an italian name

this is why i don't like the french team, even the white players are immigrants, while soccer should be played by real french too
now it will be difficult, because real french or fench of non southern origin are rare

frederic38 - Daniel Bravo had slipped my memory completely. That's not really a surprise since he only won a handfull of caps and, as far as I can recall, he only made a single substitute appearance in the tournament - and that was in the "dead" group match against Yugoslavia, who had already been knocked out following a 5-0 hiding by Denmark. Mate, those were the days - one could watch football without constantly counting blacks.

As for Battiston, on the very rare occasions that I have encountered the surname in an Italian context, I simply assumed that the Italian in question was of French ancestry. That's what too much football as a kid can do to you...

I fully understand Your sentiments about wishing to see "real French" players in the national team (and French club football, for that matter). You are doubtlessly aware that Lille's Ludovic Obraniak plays for Poland, which disgusts me to no end. A fellow who has one Polish grandfather, cannot speak the language and has never resided in the country should never be permitted to wear the Polish shirt. In a similar vein, I know plenty of Welsh blokes who cannot stand that their national team has been full of English-born players with, for example, a Welsh grandmother, et cetera.

Damien Perquis is another example of the "modern" international football mercenary. :mad2:

Perquis has a Polish grandmother, cannot speak a word of Polish and has decided - at the tender age of 27 - to "represent" Poland. Well, that's patriotic commitment for You...

Like Ludovic Obraniak, Perquis should stick to France - after all, he is a Frenchman :icon_eek:. How can players who are unable to speak a nation's language be permitted to represent the said nation? I could shake the bloke's hand, politely smile and tell him in Polish to **** off and suck his old man's limp, clapped **** and he wouldn't have a clue what I'm saying - yet he's now "officially" a "Pole" and shall probably make his debut in tonight's friendly against Germany. Hell, at least all of those knuckledragging black missing links that play for France can speak French...

I agree with you Rebajlo and Frederic - two of my favorite CF posters by the way!

That being said, at least the guy is white so will not look out of place on the Polish side. Besides, it seems the French only want black players so what is a true Frenchman to do if his own nation abandons him?

thank you my friend
you are right, at least he is white, and at least he is also of polish origin , it is a very distant origin, but at least it exists
poland could take it to the next stage, with polish-french-black timothée kolodziejczak :noidea:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timothée_Kolodziejczak

perquis is much better than obraniak
obraniak is only an ok french "ligue 1" player
but perquis is a really good defender, very powerfull, he should have played for france since a long time
when he saw that he would not be able to make it to the french team, he decided to become polish :dodgy:
