Going into the season, they were proclaiming a national championship because finally the team was more "athletic."

After being disgraced by Maryland yesterday, however, the general tone on the message boards is desperation, and many have come to the following conclusions ...

Maybe Drew Neitzel was really good and it sucks not to have a go-to scorer and team leader.

White walk-on Austin Thornton is the only wing player who can defend, even though all the others are "destined for the NBA."

There is no one on the team capable of scoring or providing any kind of inside presence with Goran Suton hurt.

There's a reason that white assistant coaches like Tom Crean, Jim Boylen, Brian Gregory and Doug Wojcik were snatched from Izzo's staff to the head coaching ranks, while two of his current black assistants can't get head jobs, and a third came back after failing at Cleveland State -- they don't bring much to the table.

I'm glad the fans are starting to see the light.

Off topic what ever happened to Paul Davis and Neitzel? Are they playing in Europe or some other league?Edited by: shawn1262231

Michigan State is definitely a much darker team this year. Sometimes it's hard to root for a particular program year in and year out when whites are well represented one season and gone the next. Thank God for Duke, Gonzaga and Notre Dame.

MSU will soon be back to waxing U-M and doing it with white players like Matt Costello, Kenny Kaminski and Russell Byrd.
