(9/5/03) It is inexplicable that the Panthers are once again starting the season with Rodney Peete as their starting quarterback. Peete was pretty lousy even in his prime many years ago and the team has former Heisman Trophy winner Chris Weinke and talented free agent signee Jake Delhomme, but Carolina is in the upper echelon of the league when it comes to number of whites on the roster, with 20 this year.
There are six white starter on offense in spite of the presence of Peete at QB. Four whites man the line
